Okay so I am here to say @blondeswhoeat from IG lead me here to try out their Italian beef sandwich. I had heard of Jimmy's, but never thought about going there to eat. But after watching her tutorial on thus sandwich I was like let me slide through to see if it holds up to an authentic Chicago style IB sammich. Here my verdict... Hoagie: A Sliced beef: C+ Hot peppers: A+ Parking: C- Customer Service: A Price: A- I ordered the IB sammich double dipped w/hot peppers & extra meat. Waited about 12 minutes for my order to be ready, paid & left. $11.99 + tax for the sammich w/ no fries, was about average for Dallas I guess. However I had to remember I wasn't on the Westside of Chicago ordering the special of the day. (Plus all meals in Chi-town come with fries) Guess I am spoiled that way...lol Drove all the way home, with that aroma lingering in my car. So, once I washed my hands, prayed to the foodie God's it was about to go DOWN!!! The hoagie was perfect!!! Saturated with just enough juices to make it soft, but still firm enough to withhold the meat. Speaking of meat...it was JAMMED packed with it...SCORE, however you could tell that the meat wasn't resting in the juice because it had NO flavor whatsoever. That was the only downside to this sammich. Would I try it again? SURE...would I drive through rush hour traffic on a Friday for it again...NOPE. On another note...they need to invest in expanding their parking situation. Due to the fact they're located on a corner lot the parking is minimal. Thank goodness for the empty lot across the street.

Nice spot a Dallas gem. I’m not Italian I don’t speak Italian. I’ve never been to Italy. Yet this place is cool. Good prices and quality foods. The staff asked several times if I was satisfied. YEP!

Jimmy’s is a godsend, an absolute joy. We are visiting from out of town and checked it out at the recommendation of a friend, and this is a very authentic Italian grocery store with a deep and wide selection of goods. Love their wine, their ravioli, pastas, and prepared meatballs — it was perfect for a low key New Year’s Eve dinner.

You talking about the best Italian home made Italian beef, sausage, sandwiches and ready to bake cookies. They have a lot more and people are so nice and helpful. Go there everytime I go to Dallas. Love Jimmy's
