Very pretty apartments. They keep the courtyard very tidy.

I've lived here for almost two years and plan renewing again. Jacob is a fantastic apartment manager and has dealt with any and all sorts of issues promptly and effectively. Nice quite complex with few kids and minimal noise. Majority of the tenant population is made up of a variety of working adults, from service industry folks too Hospital workers. Everyone is super friendly. And it is very safe.

I've lived here over a year and honestly for the price/location, you can't beat it. The office and maintenance staff are all great and they take care of work orders pretty quick. This is a great, quiet community!!

Harris Gardens was my first apartment on my own. It was a great experience and definitely recommend it to anyone on a budget. It was safe, affordable (utility charges are great as well), and the location was basically in the heart of everything. Charter cable is the best internet option. Each apartment has different cabinets. The few apartments that I saw, were never the same. The apartments are dated. I regularly had the carpet shampooed, since I had a dog. The walls are not completely straight - so use some imagination if you paint the walls. I used contact paper to make the kitchen island white. You will hear some noise upstairs. I was blessed with quiet neighbors though. I never had any issues with them. Lisa takes care of things. She's very nice and does whatever she can to fix things. I never had problems with Philis. For 4th of July, she let my friends and I stay in the pool area a little longer. If we had music playing, it was always a genre that most people would like. There was only one creepy old guy with a dog. I was cordial with him and he took it too strongly I guess. I had to yell at him to leave me alone and not come around me any more. He would be right outside my apartment every morning waiting for me to walk my dog, and after work as well. He knew my schedule. He kept trying to come around and finally I yelled at him again in front of people. Now that there were witnesses and he saw them, he left me alone after that. There were two other girls that owned dogs that had the same issue with him. I basically recommended yelling at him in front of people. I think he was a little crazy. I don't think he meant any harm but definitely could not read body language at all. I believe he's been there for years. So any new comers that are women, beware of him. There's also a friendly old black guy. He's cool and has lived there for 12 years. He'll keep watch for you and give you updates of anything going on. haha. All in all, I moved because I wanted a dog park and to be closer to work. North ftw has so much traffic. Harris Gardens was good to me and definitely set management standards for me with any other apartment complex I'm thinking about moving to. Beware during icy season. Park your car outside of the parking lot or you will be stuck. For some reason, no salt is put down on the sidewalks or on the road. So you are literally stuck at Harris if you have no other person to come pick you up.

They allow pets but you have to pay a pet deposit and pet rent if it's a dog, no pet rent for cats.
