Before other breweries in San Diego there was Karl Strauss. While I already forgot how good their beer sampler was, what distinguishes this place from others are two things: atmosphere and food. Their food is not just something to eat with the beer like fries, burgers, and pizza but rather good quality restaurant food. Today I tried their Korean BBQ Bowl with Beyond Meat. It was delicious. Their version of tiramisu made with beer is original, rich, and tasty. You want fries? No problem, but it is hard to stop once you start tasting that garlic truffle oil. The last meat dish I had there was a fish steak with a tartar sauce over a decade ago with a view of a beautiful koi pond. But I never forgot about it, because that's the experience you get with this place.

Good beer in a great location with a koi pond. My fish and chips was ok but the other food looked better. I should have ordered chop shop chicken.

1st stop for our Welk's Escondido trip this Saturday was Karl Strauss Brewery. Huge is one Word to describe the place. Another would be inviting and friendly. Their beers are good, too. Come visit if your in Sorrento Mesa, San Diego.

The food is consistently good - and of course they have a fantastic selection of beer. I had a fish tacos again today, but now I regret not getting the burger They guy at the table across from got (that looked really good). The mac & cheese is always a winner. I could never go there if I didn’t have a reservation, and finding parking was impossible, but since it is in an industrial workplace area, parking is now easy to come by and no reservations are necessary.

I was there on a Saturday evening and there was no live music.
Not sure if they have a happy hour, but on Fridays you can get a 32 oz crowler to go for $7, and on Mondays all packaged beer is 10% off.
Masks on unless you are eating or drinking. Plenty of airflow through the restaurant. Staff wear gloves. Hand sanitizer avaible.
I thought it was good! I think you have the wrong posting.😉😁..but, yes, the c.v. shutdowns are ruining our holidays.
I believe they are, I remember seeing some dogs but am unsure if they were service dogs.
There is a lot of outdoor seating but i would call and ask before bringing a pet. Honestly though, i think they would be ok with it as long as it wasn't wondering or anything.

Paid 26. Live music, good food and refill champagne/mimosas or free pint of beer. Good deal
