Postal Annex is a franchise, meaning the quality of each location varies greatly depending on the owner and management. Some are great (Point Loma blvd), many are not. This also explains why many of the locations are overflowing with knockoff Beanie Babies and others are relatively utilitarian. I am writing this review to remind my future self that this place is ok for basic stuff but overall mediocre. Fine enough for basic drop-offs with pre-printed labels from home. Does not inspire confidence for sending important packages. I overnight a lot of FedEx Packages that need to arrive safely the next business day. They make you fill out the old school paper form at this place, and the slow service as well as the basic questions the employees ask and double-check with one another gives me pause. The old paper forms are easily misread and there is a reason why most locations print digital and check for errors in the address before charging for the label and shipping out. FUTURE ME: drive 3 more minutes to the FedEx store one exit up the 15 fwy.

Unbelievably expensive. I shipped a pair of slippers, a small hand soap and lotion, and a candle and she charged me over $80. Will not be using this service again, I genuinely felt robbed.

I needed to get a document notarized quickly, and this was the right place to do exactly that. The lady that helped me was great! She completed my transaction in line 3 minutes! I would highly recommend this location to anyone that needs quick notary service.

They wouldn’t even give me a piece of packing tape to affix my prepaid label on the overpriced envelope I purchased. And they were going to charge me to mail my package with the prepaid shipping. I’m surprised they didn’t charge me just to walk in. I walked out in a huff feeling like I was a burden rather than a customer. That’s what I get for choosing to stop at this place out of convenience instead of going to my normal place. Hope your experience is better than mine.
