This is so frustrating. Our blue (90gal) recycling cart is so demolished/ broken and also the black (90gal) cart. I have called numerous times ( Stephanie, 6/27; April, 7/01; Marica , 7/05; Bridgette, 7/06, and last , Brian, 7/08) to get these carts replaced and NOTHING HAPPENED. I called Brian yesterday, 7/08 and he told me that the carts will be replaced 7/09. It’ s now 7:44 pm of Saturday and the empty broken carts are still on the curb/front of my house. Republic left this bin in the street blocking the bike lane and homeless going through it and causing trash all over. Why is this still here? It’s causing blockage and clutter all week. Come pick this up asap!

LoL. This is the lowest review score for a business that I have seen in Google map. 😂 Anyhow, don't know if policy has changed regards to picking up excess trash bags next to the bin but I had one additional bag right next to the black bin and it was not picked up. The effort to just pick it up at that moment would be far more efficient than coming back out here again for missed trash don't you think?

*********Update 2/9/22 received a call today stating I will be receiving a full credit of $18.79 after filing a complaint with the BBB. *********** I have been calling Republic Services almost weekly since 12/23/21 after our first missed pickup. I have been reassured to keep my bins out and it would be picked up by a third party. I was also reassured we would not be charged for missed pickups. On 1/20/22, the filled bins were finally emptied along with most of my neighbors. On 1/22/22, we received an email letting us know we are being charged the full amount for services from 11/1/21- 2/28/22. Thinking this must be an error I called up Monday 1/24/22, I was told my request for the $18.79 credit would be reviewed and I would receive a call back within 24 hours. I called back after the 24 hours on 1/25/22 since I didn't receive a call back. I was told that everyone in the Chula Vista community would be receiving a $10 credit (upon request) for the inconvenience but that we would not be credited for missed pickups and that no other resolution was possible. This is unethical. Charging the whole community even when services weren't rendered. I hope Chula Vista does switch services when the contract is up. Considering they just posted the same generic reply to email them as the did with basically everyone else on Google reviews, it shows they aren't really concerned about their customers or actually making amends.

Yes, it's a disposal fee and you would have to call ahead so they can arrange pickup.
No, you call and notify the trash Co and they will arrange a different pickup.

I am legally allowed to choose where I am buried and with the #CaliforniaEndOfLifeOptionsAct I am legally allowed to choose #TheMethodofDeath. I have chosen to be compacted in a trash truck and brought to the landfill. Landfills can and already accept Cats, Dogs, Horses and Cows. Those are Bodies ...humans are of similar biological makeup so if they take ONE type, they already CAN take another! To NOT take one over another is discrimination

I had the same problem. I went there in person and got great service. They did not answer the phone or respond to emails. In person, got it done.
