I’m frequently interrupted by staff telling me to stop working out, wether in the studio or sauna. They have constant classes throughout the morning that take most of the resources all morning, making it pointless to go in the mornings, no pool, no basketball court, and no studio. Why? I’m not allowed to get the exercise I need because people can’t mind their own business here. If you are using the court or studio, the instructors will tell you to leave despite the fact you have a membership. The men’s locker room, sauna, hot tub, and steam room are filthy, including band aids and other debris that have been sitting for months and black mold on the walls, they do not deep clean these areas as would be expected. The floor in the swimming area is extremely slippery anywhere without mats. There is no regulation on people showering before entering the pool or hut tub, I’ve watched a woman walk in fully dressed, slip her shoes and socks off, pull up her pants, and put her dirty nasty feet directly into the hot tub, I’ve watched men walk out of the sauna dripping in sweat and walk right into the hot tub or pool, it’s disgusting and the YMCA staff do and say nothing.

I have been going to this YMCA since it opened. My kids learned to swim here. The hot tub has different strength jets which is really nice. I have never had any problems going here. I miss Filmore the janitor. The only thing where can be difficult is parking at certain times. Which in that case you park across the street at the arena which is allowed and is good because I'm going to exercise anyways.

We had a very upset 5 year old this was the second time we have come to this Y Specifically for the kids swimming area. The first time we got told that the kid pool structure was being fixed. Ok understandable. We called a few days ago to see if it was fixed got told yes and when she went to go swim the Lifeguards refused to open it.

Kacey and Emma are absolutely great and made my first experience here a good one! I only wish the gym closed at least a little later. Even 10 would be a lot more convenient.

Hi Charlotte, thanks for asking. Our pools are open with limited availability and prior reservation. Check out our website for all details on returning to the YMCA and the pools. https://ymcainw.org/reserve-a-spot-at-your-y/
It’s on the list Mark. The staff at the branch would be the better place for this question. They will have a more precise answer.
Parking is always free, just pick up a permit in the building for your car.
No
Hi. If you are a member, the pool is included. If not and you would like to just come swim for the day, day pass rates are posted on our website here https://ymcainw.org/join-the-y/guests/. All guests 12 yrs + must have ID to enter the Y. Hope to see you soon.
Hi. Unfortunately we have discontinued shower passes at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please give us a call at 509 777 9622 if we can help with anything else.
Pretty much open swim all the time. Except Saturday, they have lessons. As of this time, excluding weekends 5a.m. in til closing
We are hoping to have the repairs made and the pool open by the end of this week. We apologize for the inconvenience.
I believe so.
You may choose any facility at all within the same region/county you signed up in (e.g. -- if you applied for your membership in Spokane county, you have membership anywhere in Spokane County). I'm pretty sure that it works anywhere, even out of state -- but not %100 sure -- I might have to ask by calling the YMCA or speaking to an employee about that in person at this point in time -- (it's been a long time since I've asked something like that, and I am not a YMCA employee). However, there is a quicker and easier way to answer your question -- to book an appointment online -- but you can book and then cancel if you need to, so no worries about that (so long as you don't 'over-use' the feature). I heard somewhere that the Y was opening the rest of their facilities (or at least more than just the pool at this location) back up again -- but during these troubled times, I'm pretty sure everyone has to book online or by phone before coming in to any facility anyway.
Hi, yes masks are required while in the building. They may be removed during active exercise, but need to be replaced once done. The pools are open. All visits must be preregistered prior to attending. See our website for all information. https://ymcainw.org/ Thanks for asking.
Mark all the circuitry controlling the hot water heaters was destroyed when the pipe burst. It has to be completely re-plumbed and replaced. We are working with our insurer and getting bids on repairs. It will likely be a couple of days still. All updates are posted on our app, website and Facebook page.
James this has been a long and challenging process and we understand our member's concerns. In a nut shell the manufacturer could not determine the issue and suggested a number of fixes which have not worked. We are having a specific part manufactured just for us. Please know we are doing everything in our power to get the jets flowing again.
Each case is determined on an individual basis. It is best if you go in in person. Bring a verification of income. At that point they can quote you a price.
Here’s the link to the website. Click the steps to find your rate depending on type of membership and income. https://ymcainw.org/join-the-y/find-your-rate/
Yes it costs anywhere between 55 and $83 a month. You need to go there to get a membership
There is a daycare that is associated with the YMCA that does cost money during the week if you leave your child there while you go to work. However, if you are there to workout they do have a child care for a maximum 2 hours while you work out and that is free. There are time constraints though and you will have to check with MSR post or director to find out times
The wifi password is "ymcamember" If you have any additional questions you can always ask a staff member at the branch. Have a great day!
Right now it's a little busy and they close it down at 9 so you need to be there pretty close to 7 the reason they close it at 9 is swimming lessons on Saturday

Showers are available when you use the facility, either with a membership or with a non-member paid class or pool use. They also have free "all-day passes" available online, so you and your family can check out the location before joining. Not sure if they have the same pass available at the front desk too, but I think they do. Call them for any questions you may have or for more details.
Nope it won't cost you anything that i know you can bring a guest doesn't matter
