My daughters have been in classes at Jung Kim Martial Arts (north division) for coming up on 3 years. The first thing I noticed when they began attending classes was how much the instructors genuinely care for the children each individually. As my daughters have gone up in belts over the past 3 years we have been incredibly happy with this school and its attention to each child's pace of learning. The extra help and support is always there and recognized when a child needs it. Master Kim runs a very structured establishment. Classes always start right on time and children are expected to be there and ready to teach them responsibility and respect. There is a great level of humor and love In The room. I would recommend Jung Kim's Martial Arts to anyone looking to get their children involved in a solid program to teach positive physical and mental motivation as well as self-confidence and self-defense.

Both my girls have been a student of Master Kim for 3 years. They started at 4 (just turned 4) & at just 6. He had taught them confidence and self control. Both of my girls have gained a strong moral compass along with his teachings and our parenting. Bullying is a big issue in schools ever before now with social media that can follow children to their home lives, I believe my girls are much less likely to be a target, who wants to mess with a almost black belt/future black belt? They also will be able to defend themselves from other situations, my girls will stick up for other kids as well. Master Kim & Mr BK are a very important part of my children's lives! The pricing isn't bad for what you pay for. It's not a gym and shouldn't be priced like one, it is a martial art school, they teach the kids so much more than punching and kicking. My youngest daughter Lola has some issues with being hyper and they have excellent patience with her. I highly recommend his school!

My five year old daughter is with the school for more than a year and loving it. I have a thirteen year old son whom was in a Karate school in Reno six year ago. We had to pay $90/month for group lesson. Private lessons were the must and at least 30 min lesson once a week cost another $50 monthly. He was with the school for 2 years until we moved up to Spokane. Unfortunately, Karate is so ubiquitous but yet no uniformity my son had to lower his belt if he wanted to join one of the karate schools here. I contacted 3 schools via email, got no reply. So we decided to give up on Karate. Back then, for all belt test we had to pay $50 each time already and we also had to sign 1 year contract. So when my daughter about 4 1/2 year old was asking me doing Taekwondo, after more research I found out cost is less than what I paid before for my son. And if our family has to move any where in the States or even to Vietnam, I can find any Taekwondo school for her and pick up from where she left off. It is no brainer to have her join this school, making great friends, to be able to protect herself when we are not around for her, learning positive reinforcement and respectful... no price you can put on it. Most of things you do now a day is not free even if you are YMCA member, you still have to pay monthly membership on top of what ever class you want to register for.
