They change the policy which is ridiculous because the existing policy was probably just fine. So they no longer cross reference physical addresses with PO boxes. So because of this they are asking all people in brickings to get their shipments sent to sent to the physical address of the Post Office facility. Which in turn is gonna cause me to need to get a physical PO Box instead of a Post Office Box So instead of getting my mail delivered to the PO Box and packages I yes I will not get a yellow slip or a key anymore but they will have to deliver it directly to my home. How is this easier than just simply putting a yellow slip or a key in my Post Office Box. The line at my Post Office is already going out the door just about every time I go there so oh how is this gonna make it better.

I was fortunate enough to catch Postmaster Shanda today on the phone. She was able to take considerable time to personally make sure my issue was solved. Kind. Prompt. Professional. I am grateful. 💐

Every package that gets sent here needs an additional day for them to locate it and scan it into their system, and then hopefully they can find it when you try to pick it up. I've used hundreds of post offices across the United States and this is definitely one of the dumbest ones. I feel bad for anyone who lives here that is forced to deal with them regularly for their mail delivery. I've only been here 3 times and every time I've seen someone else have problems with their service. Not recommended.

This place has become a gigantic joke of an establishment and not in a funny, hilarious manner. Its NEVER open when we as a community need them to be, they take FOREVER to put delivered packages in our mailboxes, they lose packages that have been delivered constantly and in my opinion its unfair that those of us who work until 5:30-6:00 in the evening CAN'T check our mail because the doors are locked. I understand some of the homeless are the reasoning behind the locking of the doors but here's an idea....make it a point to have security on duty after hours. And since most of the time when you go inside to pick up a delivery with a color coded slip there's a line to the door, well since some of us don't have time to stand there for anywhere from 20-75 minutes waiting and its closed after work maybe have someone in on Saturdays from 8-12 specifically to handout the packages.

You need to have an address service request on it. If you need to change your address there is a firm at your local Post Office you can fill our that saves you the charge online.
Yes. Boxes are 24 hours
Go to postoffice with ID and let them know. Brookings P Office hrs M-F 9-4:30 I believe.
The lobby hours are clearly posted on the doors. Because they are too busy to get back to one person.
The closest office for passports is in Smith River Ca
Because of the slide on 101 it has delayed the mail a day or so but you will have mail service today, yes.
Due too road closures and reroutes we have not recieved the mail in 2 days. We are working to get the mail down here so we can deliver it to all of our customers. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
You don't need that paper, but it'll make the process quicker. You may need to show ID.
I know it used to be they forwarded for one year and then returned it to Sender from 13 to 18 months with your new address on it. Things might have changed over the last few years.
Which PO are you calling? If you are calling the 800# it's automated. I work at the Smith River Post Office and will be there at 8:30. You can go to your local Post office and ask for help. We are here for our customers.
What was the problem? How did USPS fail you?
I'm pretty sure you can if they put it in one of the lockers, but if they give you a yellow slip, you'll have to retrieve it at the desk wich is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
