This organization will NOT do business with you (employment) if you are not established at a Christian faith church they recognize. Pretty sure that is called discrimination. Their mission statement and value sound pretty good on paper, but they will be moving forward without any of my personal or loved ones’ support from here on out. I thought a group like this would have been more accepting to help/work with others…..

UGM is imperfect people in the business of helping imperfect people based on a set of standards that (I truly believe) are Perfect. None of use will ever measure up to those standards, so a little slack should be cut. Out of respect to UGM I’ll keep the details of my experience and opinions about that experience where it should be kept. Private. I will say that in spite of the monumental amount of gratitude I have for the the time spent there when my entire life went sideways, after I left and things got squirrelly again, a couple of attempts to rebuild my world there was a much different experience, as the guest experience had indeed changed dramatically in a short period of time. Just like imperfect people do. Just like I do. Much love and prayers from me to you and all of you at UGM, unconditionally! Sincerely, Scott Chapman

Out of all the shelters and warming centers union gospel mission is the least expected for general development. Never expected to be homeless yet the reception desk is ran like a clubhouse for programmers. In my account i worked hard and got sick. What I saw was nobody there will support you as long as they can stay there in their own thoughts. Regardless of your clean and sober house there was times I was the only one working my kitchen shift that was just involuntary.

I recommend calling the shelter directly at (509) 535-8510. There are no requirements for receiving free meals, however for entry into the recovery program, one must remain clean and sober for the duration. We consider every applicant based on need and desire and we acknowledge that every situation is different. Feel free to call or stop by the Men's Shelter any day.
They always have a bed if they don't have a bed in one of the four dorms witch hold 16 people we have matts so people can sleep on the floor through out the building they wash all the beding every day and it is a very clean, the people care alot about every one if there is anything eals you would like to know I can answer you're questions I work at the desk in the shelter and I am also in there 16 month recovery program they also have a 6 month program called the E.R.P.(employment ready program) I hope you have a great day God bless you.
Yes. They did when I was there.
I don't believe so, but you can always call and ask them.
Hi, thanks for reaching out. Ron Molina is our chaplain.
The free clinic is on Wednesday i believe
Yes
Call Joe Marsh at (509) 535-8510 ext 1127. He is our men's intake specialist and has all the forms and, generally, answers to all questions concerning our Men's Recovery program. Hope that help!
Not much. Just have to cohabit with others and give them a few hours of your time each day
I know they do take it to the back dock or the east door both places will be pleased to help you
Just walk in. You can stay there if you need to. Free 3 meals a day.
Dinner is at 6:00 p.m. and you can eat any time but every time you eat three meals they ask you to go to chapel and they will rest your meals back to zero so you can eat again
The woman's shelter can help the woman. There is also a crisis shelter. As for pets sadly they can't stay unless they are service animals with all the paperwork and vaccinations.
Don't know never stayed there.
We will always help if we can.
Yes, an employment ready program. You just need to be a checked in guest, seeking employment, it can take few weeks to get, but worth the wait.
Walter, UGM is here to help. Please check in at the Men's Shelter Day Desk at 1224 E Trent!
People wishing to enter the recovery program need to check in to the shelter in order to go through the application process. More information: https://info.uniongospelmission.org/hubfs/Website/Recovery/Howtoapply.pdf
