I good my parents to lunch at a great little restaurant in Rathdrum. Unfortunately, I locked my keys in my car & we were stranded. I called the PD and the dispatcher was very pleasant. Sent a couple of very polite officers & they had us bsvk on the road in no time. We appreciate the helpful service!

Someone pushed the crosswalk button on the opposite side of the road when I was 20 feet from the cross walk making the light flash. I decided to continue instead of leaving skid marks. Cop watched the whole thing and gave me a ticket and made a dig at me about it not being that hard to notice with the light. I obviously don’t want to hit anyone and no one even got onto the road before I passed by. For reference, this is my third time pulled over (minor speedings) and the first ticket in the 9 years I’ve been driving. Also, I was driving extra cautious because I grew up in the area and the police here are known to be bad and now I know it first hand. You should drive paranoid anywhere near rathdrum, spirit lake, or Athol because the cops are more concerned with quota than public safety.
