I like that you get one hour to spend time with the animal your interested in. It is also great that they spay/neuter all the animals and give them initial vaccinations

Wonderful people 🙂 took my 3 cats and 3 kittens to be rehomed they were very understanding of my circumstances didn't make me feel judged for having to re-home my babies. Highly recommend. Donate if you can 🐱

My family had a very good experience adopting our sweet girl, Bailey Rose from this shelter. She is the perfect dog; easy to train, loyal, loving, and she gets along with every adult, child, and animal she meets. Kootneai Humane society rescued her as a 5 month old pup from a shelter in Texas where she would've been killed. It breaks my heart to think that someone would have wasted this precious girls life. She is now 9 months old and she is my best friend, she goes with me everywhere and is beginning service training🥰🥰

Was 100% awesome and totally worth all the kindness they returned my dog and didn't charge me after he was stolen and I had to drive 1300 hundred miles round trip to get him back and he's my service animal and best friend

How must to put a small dog to rest
35$ or 45$ depending on if it is getting spay or neutered the request you fill out a voucher. I am sure if you called them they would be more then willing to give you more details about it.
Between $70-$130 depending on the weight of the animal. Chipping cost is $25.
Go to their website for prices
You need to go to the website and look. It changes all the time.

Yes there's a fee, but they do consider if you will be able to care for the pet. If a person cannot help them by paying their adoption fees, I'd think they'd wonder how you could afford to take care of a pet. I'm Very sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my Best Buddy Jan 3rd. I adopted another dog & the shots & checkups aren't cheap. Pets are wonderful to have & I treat mine like family. Good luck. I hooe you consider the costs to own a pet & take Good care of it... God Bless, Jerry

I just had my kitten spayed and her first round of shots. It was $80-$85 total.
Here would be the place to do that at😊

$35 for a neuter, $45 for a spay. Please visit https://www.kootenaihumane.org/our-services for more information.
I put my little Chihuahua down and it ran me $200 but they tried to save her first it goes by weight
You can go on line@ kootenai humane society to find out if they charge
I think so, but don't know for sure. You can call and ask.
If you go to their website they have pictures of all the dogs that are going to be up for adoption and cats
I think they only do spray and nueder service.call them they may at least know which vet clinics in area offer low cost and or payment options.
I don't think I have ever seen a turtle there myself but if you call they might know where there is a reptile rehab otherwise I would contact Jodie at unique Exotics in Post Falls
Oy! I remember seeing the price, but I can't remember what it was. If you go to the website, it will tell you.
Cats, Adult - over 1 yr$50.00 Cats, Young Adult - (over 5 mo-1 yr) $65.00Senior (7 yrs and over)$25.00Kittens - 5 mos and under$85.00
You are wrong I called and it is a 65 surrender fee
They add more each day. Kootenai Humane Society About 11 right now. Dogs are adopted out each day and coming in.
I'm not sure of that part. You can call and they will let you know. Or go to their website. All the adoptions include neuter/spay.
Yes they take donations
I would recommend going to the shelter to see if your cat has been brought in!
I have three hanger on cats at my house, its across from round park. Two the former owner abandoned upon moving, one is a tuxedo cat as described named sylvester, the other all black marley. Neither is interested in living inside so the hubby built a side shed type thing on the house and that is where they are shelved in heated cat beds. Recently, marley drug home a tiny male cat, he is in the shed in a fast made heated cat bed, this tabby is sweet and loving so had to have been a pet. If sylvie is the cat, then this is his 3 year abandoned, so....shameful.
May be check their website...

Yes..there is a surrender fee. Call them for cost..also a waiting list.
Call Idaho fish and game they will help you
Chip is $25, and neutering is $60 if hes under 25 lbs. All of their pricing info is listed on their website! :)
Give them a call or head down there, they are always appreciative of donations!
It depends on the age of the dog and how much the dog weighs it would not be more than the 150 that has been mentioned but it depends keeping in mind that the dog will have been spayed or neutered will be microchipped and will have all of its shots so it's a pretty good price
If you go to the website Kootenai Humane Society you can view some of the adoptable dogs not all dogs pictures are online because they need to be spayed or neutered first or checked out by a vet they depends on what you're looking for they have quite a few in right now they're open from 12 noon to 6 p.m. except on Sundays it's only 12 to 4 you should check them out find your new best friend
And they have to have room. There are times when they have too many. Make sure you call first before driving there....
Aside from Rabbi's you can get your shots and give them yourself for between $5 and $11 from North 40. Prices vary depending on what you want to guard your animal from. Bit keep the package and the receipt so you can show proof of your animals vaccinations for when you go in to get the Rabbi's shot.
Definitely give them a call. If the Humane society can't help, they will have information on other organizations that do.
They havw the prices listed on their website. They only do vaccinations on Tuesday and Thursday
We were just there 2 weeks ago, Steph is correct, 150.00, sometimes they run specials though so watch their website.
They get puppies all the time, you'll jist have to check in frequently to see what doggies are up for adoption. Check out their Facebook too, they share a lot of pictures!
