I thought the city of Roseburg provided this needed service, then I found out it was staffed by paid (?) volunteers for UCAN. Wow, the city really IS CHEAP; what do you expect from loggers! Kudos to your employees but that still doesn't excuse your missing me on the last bus out of Winchester on the Green Line...🤔

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Two local organizations are making it easier for people to travel between Eugene and Roseburg. Umpqua Public Transportation District and South Lane Wheels have created the Lane-Douglas Connector, a transportation service that makes stops between the two cities. Stops include the Eugene VA, the Roseburg VA, the Cottage Grove Walmart and the Ray’s grocery store in Drain. Staff said they created the project to target veterans, but the route is also open to the general public. “This gives them an opportunity where they know the best is going to come,” said Cheryl Cheas, general manager of the Umpqua Public Transportation District. “They’re going to be able to make that appointment, make it to Roseburg, make it to Eugene.” The route runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Cheas said walk-up rides are available; however, she said it’s better to reserve a ride ahead of time due COVID-19 limitations. She said rides are free right now during their pilot period. Ch9
