Nice little campsite but the camp host is horrible. Completey rude and had a bad attitude. He yelled at myself and my kids for shooting a BB gun. I can understand if we were shooting real guns in the campground but we weren't. Won't be going back while that camp host is there.

I would have really liked to give this area a 4 or 5, but we were unable to even get to the location. Drove 20+ miles down the road only to find out (from a local rancher thankfully) that the government shut the road down and there was no access to the campground. They failed to post this information at the south entrance. Better luck next time.

Stellar, realllll camping ground. Quiet and peaceful. Highly suggest the windy mountain trail, the view from the peak is stunning!

This campground is gorgeous! But be WARNED: there is a 14 mile very rocky, very bumpy dirt road to get to the campground (Upper Highwood Creek Road). We took our all wheel drive Subaru out there and managed to get a flat tire from the rocky road. I think most cars can make it, but come prepared!
