We chose this campground because it was near Copper Falls State Park and we wanted to hike waterfalls. It was the perfect choice! Rebecca, the owner was very kind and accommodating. Everything was super clean and well kept. We were in site 4 and had a beautiful view of the lake. One day we rented kayaks and enjoyed the lake. Stunning sunsets on the lake. We will be back!

Just spent Memorial Day weekend here with the family, and it was fantastic. The owner, Rebecca, lives on the property and has been working diligently to make improvements and keep up the grounds. She is attentive to her guests' needs and keeps things simple. With only 10 sites, your stay should be quiet, relaxing, and stress free. We stayed in on site four. It is lakeside with a a short trail through the trees to the lake. There is a playgroud close by. This allowed parents to watch their kids while still being able to relax. Facilities are not fancy but they are clean and well maintained. In addition to bathroom facilities with two showers, there is an outhouse. Other amenities include kayak and canoe rentals, a boat launch, a small designated swim area, and a camp store Rental process are fair and you can go in and when you choose. Its close proximity to state and national parks makes it convenient to access outdoor activities. Hiking, trail riding, fishing and boating can done at numerous close by areas. Wildwood is a great little camp to make some excellent family memories. .

Very quiet place to camp if you want to get away from the normal camping crowd. Nice place to relax veg

Clean, efficient, groomed, with a new owner who is enthusiastic and really working hard to provide a great customer service experience. When, if ever, have you been to a campground that disinfects the dump station between uses? Yep, this one does. We were fortunate to experience this campground in two very different situations. When we arrived there was a large family gathering covering three campsites with eight to ten cousins all enjoying the playground and waterfront. They kids really seemed to be enjoying themselves and the parents could relax and let them play. The campground was bustling with the activity. It reminded me of family gatherings on the lake when I was growing up. Then right before dusk they packed up and left. Within an hour we went from noisy happy kids to hearing a loon somewhere out on the lake. The quiet peaceful evenings that followed were exactly what we were looking for. Here rustic doesn't mean unkempt, dirty, broken down, or forgotten.

If there is a heavy rain it will. Two years ago we drove through 4 inches on the road in the afternoon and the next morning it was clear.
The Lakeside Retreat's prices include air conditioning. The other cabins have a $75 charge in addition to the listed price for air conditioning. It is rare to need air conditioning here since there is typically a cool breeze off the lake every evening, but it is available.
