Out door trails, tons of tennis courts, volleyball and basketball courts inside. Free entry to all Lawrence residents. Decent gym with an indoor 1/8 mile track. Location is less than desirable, but overall the facility is great.

Would have left 0 stars if google would let me. I am a college baseball player home for the summer and I have been doing my long toss routine in the turf area of the sports pavilion into the field separation nets, the exact same type of nets they use at baseball facilities and stadiums. After doing my throwing workouts here through the month of June, starting in early may, I was told by the manager that I was no longer aloud to do this because “baseballs ruin nets.” I distinctly remember being told that they hold baseball and softball practices in that section when I got registered to workout here. They clearly do not appreciate the privilege of having a college athlete use their facility to better themselves and be a positive influence for younger athletes. It must be very poorly managed if those are their rules, as the person at the front desk had no idea that it was a rule when I signed up as well as them not noticing that I was using their facility for this purpose for a month and a half. Very disappointed with the manager and the way he runs other things as well, like having all of the young front desk workers sitting on their phones and not greeting people as they walk in or even paying attention to whether or not someone checks in and has a card. Be better than that.

This location is currently open! I am taking the weight class and thoroughly enjoy it. The Sports Pavilion is always very clean and even with covid, I feel safe attending classes

Nice facility. There were over 12 volleyball courts. Concessions were good but pricey. Unfortunately, masks are required inside. A plus was no one enforced the mask rule. Even staff weren't wearing masks.
