Ive been coming here for shipping needs since i moved here 7 years ago.. There is sometimes a line but in my opinion worth the wait. The service is EXCELLENT and staff go above and beyond to assist. I won't go anywhere else.

The guy who helped me today was very helpful! Staples would not print a label from my ebay that I needed, without them having to sign in to my account. They said they weren't allowed to and to use their self serve computer. The employee at old town mail house walked me through the steps of getting it sent without them having to sign in to my account. Thank you so much for being helpful!

Old Town Mail House is the greatest! I do not like waiting in line only to be rushed as other mailing facilities. I usually go to Self Mail on NW Washington St, but I had about 20 lbs of makeup products and product books to send back to a company. Jeff greeted me, said hello and helped me right away. Very courteous family owned business. I support local businesses 100%. They took the time to address my situation, didn't rush me or sell me the largest box that was not necessary.

Hi there! We have just purchased a home with a little cottage on the property. We are wondering how to split the addresses, for example: The larger house be 456 A Walnut Avenue and the cottage be 456 B Walnut Avenue..

Old Town Mail House | Jan 22, 2022

Hi Dawn, I am not sure how old this question is but I vaguely remember talking to you about this. This designation of your two homes on the property would have to be filed with the post office to get each authorized to receive mail.

How much for notary services?

Mitch Walker | Aug 20, 2020
Old Town Mail House | Aug 20, 2020

Hi Mitch, Notary fees in Oregon are $10 per notary. You do not need an appointment to get one with us and we always have a Notary Public available during our normal business hours. You will need valid government issued identification to have a document notarized. Please call us at 54-479-8489 if you have any other questions.

Can I purchase the 47.95 priority boxes with the shipping labels included and fill them at home to be picked up by my mail carrier? By the way, this is a great little place to do business and I especially appreciate the younger men who work there.

Brenda Stocking | Aug 20, 2020
Old Town Mail House | Aug 20, 2020

Hi Brenda, I am not aware of any priority mail boxes that are $47.95. We do have the small, medium, and large priority flat rate boxes available. The boxes themselves are free but the postage we charge for each is Small ($10.90), Medium ($17.95), and Large ($22.95). If your USPS delivery person is OK with picking up the prepaid packages from you, then what you like to do should work. Our post delivery person occasionally picks up our mail so I don't see a reason they couldn't pick up yours. If you have any additional questions, please call us at (541)479-8489. I hope this was helpful. -Jeff Old Town Mail House P.S. Thank you for the wonderful compliment about my sons. They make me proud every time a customer lets me know how helpful they have been to them.

Is there a notary service at this establishment? How much is the service?

Magdalena Cardenas | Aug 21, 2019
Old Town Mail House | Aug 21, 2019

Hi Magdalena, we have 3 notary publics and there is usually two of us here so you never need to make an appointment. The state of Oregon regulates the price of a notary and that is $10 per notary. Please call us if you have any other questions (541)479-8489. -Jeff

Do you have to be open to check mail?

Theresa Rightbower | Aug 21, 2019
Michel Campbell | Aug 21, 2019

Yes, the boxes are located inside the business. I highly recommend them. Way quicker than going to the post office. They offer all the same options as the p.o. And very friendly. They can also sign for your packages, if you agree to it.

How much do you charge to fax something?

Monica Smith | Aug 21, 2019
Old Town Mail House | Aug 21, 2019

Hi Monica! We charge $1 per page but we always round down to the nearest 5 pages (e.g. 9 pages would be $5, 14 pages would be $10); however, we never charge over $15 for a faxing job even if it's 50 pages. Have a good day! -Jordan

Do you have business mailboxes for rent there?

Sportsmanbob | Aug 21, 2019
Old Town Mail House | Aug 21, 2019

Good Morning! We have private mailboxes available for businesses to rent. There is no difference between a mailboxes for businesses and residential customers. A key advantage of having a private mailbox is that, unlike the post office, we can accept FedEx and UPS packages because your address here will be a physical address and not a P.O. box. Please give us a call at 541-479-8489 if you have any additional questions. Hope to hear from you soon.
