Chicken salad was great and so is the place. Nice menu. Bakery products. Quaint inside. Patio seating. Worth the trip

Insanely good bread. Everything bread related was homemade. My coworker got a sandwich and the bread complimented all the addings to the sandwich. I got a salad and the croutons were even homemade!

Delicious food with fast service. Their chicken BLT is the best sandwich I've ever had and they have a cute assortment of pastries too. High recommend!

A few of my co-workers raved about this place, so I thought I'd check it out. I called ahead and ordered a cup of Beef Barley soup, and a half sandwich, turkey and swiss on wheat. The sandwich was very good, plenty of meat, and cheese and awesome bread. The only problem was that the soup was more broth than soup. There was beef, barley, tomato, corn, celery, and it was delicious, but not nearly enough for the price. I will patronize this establishment at least once more, but we will have a serious discussion before I place an order. You got to know when to let the soup go!

Questions & Answers

Do you have donuts, cinnamon rolls, danish, and Bismarcks,? Are you an old fashioned bakery? We are visiting here, from central Illinois, and unfortunately, we have no, good old fashioned bakerys in Illinois, anymore.

Hello. and thank you for your inquiry. While we do have an array of homemade bakery items (Apple Jacks, Cinnamon Sticks, Chocolate Logs, Holiday Pies and Rugulach, Cinnamon and Raspberry Twists and a wide assortment of homemade cookies such as Hermits, Joe Froggers, Fudge Fancy & Toll House) we are are less the old fashioned, hard core bakery that we used to be. I suspect much as you are seeing in Illinois, Big Chain Stores and groceries have swallowed most small bakeries. In order to survive and thrive, we began to focus more on our healthy, homemade lunch menu that features a selection of over 40 salads, sandwiches and wraps. Add in our specials, soups and quaint country gift corner, we have broadened our options to remain a viable, long standing local attraction. I hope this was of some help :)
