A wonderful, and we'll maintained state park. The trails are well varied, with many side-trails and are truly multi-use. The stone walls are impressive. Parking is finite, but rarely filled in the off-season. Well worth visiting.

The parking lot is at the end of a short road, google maps navigation is correct. Compared to Bluff Point and some other parks there isn't a ton of space for parking. The park didn't seem to have any kind of trail markers but it's easy to find your way through a basic loop but if you want to make your way to a specific part of the trail I would recommend actually using a map. The park is a mix of fields, woods, train tracks and a paved access road (as far as what we saw and walked) Looking forward to coming back in the spring / summer for a picnic!

A wonderful place for a beginner hiker to experience the outdoors in the Forest Like trails. Short distance from the city offers good time in the designed wilderness

Beautiful park with a wide variety of scenery and several miles of twisty trails. Trails vary from paved path and groomed 4 wheel paths, to narrow foot trails. Look closely and you might see a white tail deer or red tail hawk.

Maybe more for a rugged stroller with bigger wheels

Are dogs welcome1?

Yep! Just be aware that dogs are required to be leashed here but people often let their dogs off leash anyways so be alert if your dog is easily ruffled by other dogs

is there a two mile hiking trail at the park?

There are a network of trails to pick from with the outside loop being around 4-5 miles. It also connects to bluff point for a 6ish mile perimeter loop, and connects to the groton cross town trail system for several more miles.
