The employees here are great! The operating hours, not so much. As the only car rental option in town, it would be much better if they were open until 6, and a half day in Saturday.

I had a pleasant experience renting a clean vehicle from this location. The person signing the car out to me was extremely thorough about the details of using the model I got. I was upgraded due to lack of the smaller vehicle I asked for. The only negative is the short hours available at this location and the difficulty getting through by phone as this small shop is often run by a single person. The website says no after hours drop off but that is inaccurate. They have the usual drop off situation with a key drop. I would definitely utilize this location again.

So we had our car towed to collision pros (5 stars for them) after an accident. Naturally, we also needed a rental car. So we walk in to this location, and inquired about a car. We were very frazzled, traumatized, and don’t live near Red Bluff. So as we tried to work through which credit card would work, and what cars they have, the man (Austin) gives me my cards back and goes “You people are taking too long and I no longer like your tone. I won’t be releasing a car to you today. Goodbye.” Now this is after we had been in a car accident. We were being denied a car rental, based on this mans (trainee were told) own opinion. We called his supervisor, and heard as he lied to them on the phone. He still felt he had power, but eventually backed down after several supervised phoned him. And we walk back and he goes “CAN I DO MY JOB NOW?!” And glares. We just stayed silent, desperately needing a car to get out of the town. Finally, he gives us a car. Only because he was FORCED too. And this man is the only employee there. Insane to go through all this for a rental car.

Enterprise has the only game in town. So you really have no selection. But... They are great to rent cars from. Great selection and very fair prices. I have used them three times in the last 2 months and I am totally satisfied with Enterprise Car Rentals

Yep. It still works the same way. You have to go in in person to rent the car. They will however come and pick you up to take you to the rental office. Also they will drop you back off at home when you are done with your rental unless it's after hours.
They usually do offer one-way rentals but know that the prices are typically higher. Try to get them to give you a low "drop fee". I suggest to call in advance to check availability and rates.
If your insurance isn't covering the rental, then you would need to pay out of pocket. Is that what you mean? Or do you mean to be able to drive you need full coverage? Enterprise offers their own insurance too.
