We bought bare root trees from Fedco and they were healthy, all grew well when we planted them over ten years ago. Love the cherry tree.

These bare root trees are excellent. My concern is getting them into the ground. Although it says trees will be shipped with a mind to the start of planting season in your area, my trees arrived in early April - I can't dig a suitable hole with a pick let alone a shovel. In fact, the trees went out of dormancy the day I took them out of the box because the air is warm though the ground is stone. So, they are out on the north side of the house in moist shredded newsprint while I hope for the best. Next time I will contact Fedco and ask them to hold the trees. Their stock is outstanding.

I have a black ice plum tree and was wondering why I never got plums on it thinking my Stanley plum tree would b a good pollinator, not so I was told,do u have any Americana plum trees u could ship to me in Northern Maine

Hi. Yes, Stanley is a self-pollinating European plum and it does not need another plum to produce fruit. Your Black Ice needs other hybrid plums or American plum seedlings. We are closed for the season. Our new catalog will be available in print or online around mid-late September. Yes, we offer American and hybrid plums and we could ship to you next spring!
