Mom was sent here after a hospital stay with a fractured shoulder from a fall. The place was dirty - things would spill on the floor and no one would clean up. The beds had old, ripped blankets on them. There was an ancient (dirty) air conditioner in the window because the overhead system-wide AC wasn't working. Mom's bed was next to the AC so she got cool, but her roommate was on the other side of the room and was melting. Nurses were rude and condescending. Mom had not walked since going into the hospital so she needed help with bathrooming and other activities of daily life. The nurses were angry to have to help with these things and repeatedly told mom she needed to do things herself (instead of kindly encouraging her). When nurses were called, they would make patients wait between 30 minutes and an hour before coming in. Mom's roommate was a senior lady who couldn't seem to ever get a cup of water - she cried every time I was in there. Her daughter told me to be there as much as I could because the staff was cruel when family wasn't around. I could go on, but I will stop and just say please find a different rehab to send your family member to.

My family is very happy with the care that my mother is receiving at Brentwood. After learning that my mother could no longer live at home due to the amount of assistance she needs as a result of a progressive neurological disease, the most important thing to us was that she'd be in a place where she feels safe and well cared for, and we are confident that Brentwood provides this. Placing a loved one in long-term care is an emotional and difficult process for everyone involved, but the team at Brentwood has helped us through the process at every turn. I visit regularly and have found the staff to always be friendly and helpful. It's important to recognize that the work they are doing is VERY hard work...I truly believe it takes a special type of person to provide nursing care in a long-term facility and will always be grateful for the care given to my mother. She is content and feels safe and that's all that matters. The administrative staff, from the business manager who handles all of the insurance paperwork to the wonderful Brenda in admissions, have also provided us with a great deal of support and are always willing to answer questions.

My Aunt required a skilled rehab after a complex wound surgery. With beds available in facilities equipped to provide the proper care very difficult to find, she was sent to Brentwood, a 2-hour drive each way from home and family. We were extremely grateful to be put in touch with her nurse easily and given detailed information on her progress in between visits. Everyone we met was giving 200% to their patients, from RNs to kitchen staff.

My experience at Brentwood was great. I was sent there from the hospital after a complex knee operation. All of the administration, medical and care personnel were attentive and helpful. They assisted with my medication to make sure I was in as little pain as possible. The Physical and Occupational Therapists worked with me every day to get me up and walking. The facility is very nice, with a solarium, TV viewing room, dining room and outdoor patio.

The charge nurse intervenes in any conflict.. talks about it .then tries to resolve..its a frustrating job at times ..requires a lot of giving .
