We were in Rye for a long weekend and needed groceries, so this review might not be very useful and if you've been to a Market Basket then you know the layout is the same for 99% of their locations. It's a good chain just never visit during peak hours or when old people go, trust me it can get treacherous.

poor service. ..completely ignored @seafood dept. Sunday night 3/27. Mind you it was 20 min to close, verified on cell, was the only customer. Was willing to accept salmon as case was being broken down. I wanted 1 piece. However, I was be completely ignored, both gentlemen appeared to hope the other guy would help. I'm not responsible for lack of staffing. Yet when I left for 3 min, over to frozen seafood nearby after I returned (still only customer) I was told there closing! you're late! Finally they spoke. Then close the dept.don't ignore the customer. Post a sign closed. The customer doesn't deserve to be ignored at 20 to close...see camera to verify this... McKinnons is never rude, doesn't does this when I pop in quickly after work, 20 to close. I work Sundays until 7:00 in Dover and yes did hurry, no traffic did arrive @ dept 20 min to closing. horrible experience.

Yall gotta do something about those check out lines. Can't tell you how many times I've just up and left.. 2 minutes to find the items I want and an hour in the line.. I'd rather drive to Hannaford in Durham any day than stand in a check out line for 1 item.
