Tried to talk me out of glasses despite having awful eyeliner. Also harvested medical information I never consented to, causing me to get really lightheaded and almost passed out. I told them all I wanted was to test my vision. Screw this place. Screw US healthcare.

Very long wait time. Everyone I spoke to was professional. At checkout I was being asked to pay an additional $30 for a contract lens evaluation when i was clear with everyone that I was there to transition from contact lenses to glasses. I was never made aware about this fee. My regular eye exam (which is what I thought was occurring) is 100% covered by my insurance hence my surprise by this $30 charge. Need to be more clear with patients regarding the costs.

It was a long wait while my eyes dialated approximately two hours in total I was there. They checked my eyes prior to dialation and were determining what lens I could see out better, however they didn’t say “let me know which one you can see out better” all they said was 1 or 2 so I think you should let people know what your doing prior to just saying that. Overalll good.

So I called eye care of Maine tonight to tell them that I've been suffering from headaches and have been physically sick due to getting dizzy. Their response was: "that's not an emergency". Idiots. Rating: 1/5. Oh! And they tried to say: "well you should of bought them from us". Yet I couldn't get lenses put into my old frames. Mega idiots.

Questions & Answers

We are patients of Dr. Puiia(sp). But have moved to Whitefield. Can you recommend a Dr. in the Augusta Gardiner area or someplace closer to us? THanks
