Be very careful with this office they first tell you the charges per eye with a custom Lens is 795 per eye and that waiver you sign is a total waiver for everything is just not a consent form for him to perform the surgery then they go ahead and they bill your insurance then you get another bill on top of it after they got done telling you it was $795 per eye The experience was like dealing with a used car salesman

I had my first visit at riverside eye center they are very professional and very friendly. They took the time to explain everything in simple terms for me. Had my eyes dilated for the first time the doctor explain the whole process and she saw me sitting in the car after the appointment she wanted to make sure I was still doing all right. She took the time to care even after the appointment. A+ service all the way.

Dr. Sullivan is amazing, as is the entire staff. After my eye exam, the doctor explained that she wanted to run more tests, including dilating my eyes, and said they could do it then. I explained that I had my law finals & needed to be able to study, so we just did the other tests & I was scheduled to return the following Tuesday. However, two days later, I received a call from Dr. Sullivan, it was her day off, but she asked me to call her on her cell phone. I did, and after discussing my multiple sclerosis, she asked if it would be okay if I returned the following day, Friday, instead of waiting for the Tuesday appointment. I agreed. They treat you as if you are their only patient! If I have severe eye pain, worsening vision, or a spell of sudden blindness, I know I can call Riverside any time of the day or night, weekday or weekend, and someone will always call me back!

Despite being told the examination would only be a $15 Office Visit and fully covered by my insurance, I later received a bill for uncovered costs of $165. This was just to get a prescription for glasses for driving. A lot of unnecessary tests which I wasn't told were not covered and typical suggestions for unnecessary medical interventions such as eye lid surgery. If I had been told up front that an eye exam would cost $260, I would never have scheduled the appointment.

We currently accept Mainecare for our ophthalmology services and in emergency situations. Because we do not sell eyeglasses, our optometry services for Mainecare patients are very limited.
As far as I know they do. Please don't hold me to it though because I'm not positive. I hope this helps. Your best bet would be to call and ask. The worst thing they can say is "I'm sorry but we don't treat patients with glaucoma".
