This shelter is not like darbster, these are typically locally surrendered or stray animals. There is a food pantry for cat and dog food, call ahead Always in need of more volunteers. Clothing can be dropped on second st at "family in transition" next to naults honda

We found a pooch running loose in our neighborhood and turned him into the shelter. Once we found out he was still there, we contacted them to adopt. Because of a health issue we fostered him for several months and got to adopt him earlier this month! Everyone associated with the shelter has been AMAZING to deal with! We know they work hard and have a LOT of animals/people/etc to deal with. I see lots of complaints about them (mostly regarding cats), but we have nothing but WONDERFUL things to say. During fostering vet care was through the shelter and they took awesome care of our doggo. Every time we went to an appointment there, he was HAPPY to go and see everyone!!! It has been an amazing journey with him so far!!! I think the shelter is cramped for space and has a LOT of work on their plate, but I've never seen less than stellar care for the animals and we've ALWAYS been treated with respect. MANCHESTER ANIMAL SHELTER IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!

Adopted Max 3 weeks ago and am so happy with him! Hannah was great and I'm so thankful to have this little guy in my family.

Will repost if this is taken down! I'm writing this in hopes that others will make the educated decision when choosing to adopt from this place! This animal shelter has zero follow up on adoptions unless they actually approve you to adopt the animal, which in my experience is rare. We recently put in for a cat adoption to find that they never called us back and placed the animals in a pet store adoption center! I am giving 2 stars simply for the animals sake!! I can only hope these animals are receiving adequate care and eventually go to loving homes. They need to do a serious overhaul of their staff and simply do better!

I am looking for a catAbout thatAgeTo adoptPlease let me knowIf you're interested
Thorough yes but i found they personally judge and listen when i tell you, some of those workers should not even be there. I went looking for a hard to adopt animal and she basically said you dont want them, theyre unadoptable and evil things. She then went on to tell me how i probably wouldn't get approved anyway because theyre "so thorough". Ive owned animals for 30 years with remarkable vet references, a large home and yard, she didnt know anything about me but judged. Shameful those animals lose wonderful opportunities due to inexperienced and unprofessional judgement.
I'm so sorry you lost your pup. It's never easy. Give them a call and see if they can use it. If not, call your vet and ask them. They know you and might know of a patient who could use a little help.
Yes you can go today and i think that they close at noon time
Contact the shelter that you adopted him from -- oftentimes they will take him back. If that doesn't work, repost here.
On Facebook use granite state recovery and the Manchester animal shelter pages. Good luck
Yes you can... just go there when it's open and show them your ID where you live in Manchester and they'll give you a bag of cat food:-)
There should be on there website. I'm not sure where you live but you can also check out NH SPCA website. They always have a lot if animal's that need to be adopted. Best of luck 🐕🐈
Call them For clinic info
You need to call directly. There are other shelters in the area such as darbster as well
Call the shelter
You can go online and see all the adoptable pupd. You have to call and make an appointment to go 9n and meet the pup
Methuen,Nevins Farm has farm animals Perhaps the Live and let Live farm in Chichester,nh.Nevins farm is in Msss on the Salem,nh border
Wat kind of dog I'm looking 4 a male pup
A 15 year old cat will most likely spend the rest of its days at the shelter, cause not alot of people adopt elderly cats. But they are a very good and loving place for cats
I don't know for sure if the shelter does this or not, but I don't think they do. I do know that there are local vets that will come to your home to help you put your cat to sleep. Ark Animal Homecare is one that my friends have used. If you Google home vet services for Manchester you will find a few. It will be easier on your pet to be at home with you than to be alone in a strange place when the time comes.
Go there in person if you can other then that keep trying.....
Hello I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you I didn't realize you had asked me this question, but the answer to your question is absolutely. call the Manchester animal shelter tell them that you're on a fixed income if you're dog is a pitbull that can be free with a fix a pit program I'm over I see your question is related to a cat and still they have programs at the Manchester animal shelter for people who are on a fixed income to get your cat spay and neuter so I would call the Manchester animal shelter and let them know that you're on a fixed income and they will absolutely be able to help you if you don't for some reason get assistance there then I would call The Bedford humane society and they will also be able to give you information on where and how you can get that done at little to no cost..
At the shelter inside
Please call the shelter and ask them.
They will accept him but there are also so many others who will accept him have you posted anywhere you need to re-home him
Not sure what they have in stock. I think you might have to hir up the website or visit
They let you come and see the animals. You can volunteer there if you want to walk them or clean their cages, etc. But there's a mandatory Saturday class before you can volunteer
Animal Allies has a low cost spay/neuter program.I don't know anout the Shelter
I did ans thanks I filled out the online missing pets form :)
You can also check petfinder.com and narrow your search to only include the Manchester animal shelter.
This is a shelter, not a free/for sale site. You have to go to the shelter in person and make an application for one of the available dogs during their regular business hours.
Animal control frist
Here is a list of low cost spay/neuter programs: https://animalallies.org/new-hampshire-low-cost-spay-programs/
It changes daily. You would need to contact the shelter directly. You could also contact Darbsters Kitty in Manchester. They adopt out stray cats and kittens as well as Live and Let Live Farm
It would probably depend on how full they R. Try calling. MayB they can help U find a solution.
Not sure of the adoption fee for dogs, but cats are $75-$125. All shelter animals come fully vetted, vaccinated, and spayed or neutered. These services are immensely more valuable than the adoption fee.
You should call and ask them 1st, but I'm pretty sure they will take him if they have space.
They do have a fairly large population of cats, but they are very selective about adopters, so they will want it to be a good fit, ie: compatible personality, good with kids or not, good with dogs or other cats or not, etc... Appearance will be low on their list of traits making any one cat the ideal pet.
I believe only cats & dogs best to call they may at least be able to give u name or number of who can.
Matt has it right. Thanks Matt.
I have a cat I am trying to relocate Please private message me on facebook
I volunteered there when I was 11 with my mom
Adoption fees are currently as follows: Senior Dogs (8 years and older): $100.00 Older Puppies/Adults (7 months – 7 years): $275.00 Puppies (8 weeks – 6 months): $350.00 Seniors for Seniors Dogs (Seniors 65+ adopting over 7 years): $50.00
Fill out the application, check out the amazing dogs that are available, and take that lucky dog home! It might take 2 days, but sometimes it goes faster.
Yes
Jack it depends on your income. If you have a lower income the department of agriculture and wildlife I believe it is will help you pay for it. As well as all the shots the cat will need.
I am not sure if there is a place that would for free, but I do know a place in Londonderry that will neuter and shots for $85.00 called kitty angels they do this on Sundays only and is through email. I had my two kittys done there and they were great
