Overall the campground and facilities was a disappointment. We have been RV camping for 15 years and stayed at a lot of campgrounds for comparison. Pros: campground staff are helpful and friendly, bus shuttle to Bar Harbor and Acadia, proximity to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Cons: NO RECYCLING accommodations. That’s a full star deduction for me. Very limited full hookups. Only about 12 sites. Our site was nothing more than a parking lot up front of the campground. Fire ring was right by the road. No shade or trees are our sites. Charge of $.50 for 7 minutes for hot water for showers at bath house, laundry was $6 a load. $4 for washer and $2 for dryer. I think that’s a little much. No campground store. We moved to a different campground later on and had better facilities, shade, recycle if and still had bus shuttles for Acadia and Bar Harbor. Would not recommend.

Great location for a campground, and access to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. They even have a bus service to and from. The camp store does not have all of the amenities needed so don't expect to buy Milk. Showers are .50 for 7 minutes. Very clean bathrooms. Great staff.

We had a really great stay here and sure hope we will be back someday soon. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful. The Campground itself was VERY clean and well maintained. We stayed in site A-2 which on paper sounds bad because it’s the very first site as you enter the campground, but since it was the off-season, it was pretty quiet. The bonus is that there is no site A-1, so you end up with no campers on the campside of your RV and you have a big lawn.

A great location very close to downtown Bar Harbour and the National Park. If you have bicycles things seem to be easier to get too. Hadleys is a big campground with all the amenities. The employees are friendly and helpful. We’ll be back to stay again. I only gave 4 stars because the swimming pool wasn’t open yet.

Most campgrounds are ok with pets left for a short time in an RV for a quick trip. Keep the a/c on. Hopefully, your pet is well adjusted to being alone & doesn't bark a lot. We used Rover.com & found a homebased dog sitter in Ellsworth who was awesome. Our dog was there the whole day whilst we biked the Carriage Trails. She sent pics throughout the day of their walks & play time. We felt very comfortable with her.
This is a camper. Not the campsite manager. May not be open at this time of year. There is a resistance at this campground. Not sure if they are year round resistance. May have to try back in Spring.
Call the number, if it's busy, keep trying. That is the only way to make a reservation is to call the office.

I know when we went last year we were able to check in early. I called ahead to see and they were very nice and answering any questions we had.
They don't have a seasonal rate, but according to their website the 2018 weekly rate for a site with water and 30 amp electric is $41 per night. You can pay $10 every 3 or 4 days for the honeywagon to empty your holding tanks. The only have a few full hookup sites, and they are $48 per night.
