Highly recommend Brunswick Dental Health Associates. My husband and I both go here and agree that it is hands down the best dental practice we’ve been to. The staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. Dr. LeBourdais is very knowledgeable and cares about the right treatment for his patients. We are very happy to be patients!

Wonderful staff, hygienists, and Dr Soberanes is a miracle worker! I came to him with a lot of work needing to be done, and we are finally just about caught up- minus a couple crowns coming up! Definitely a great place to come— they’ll make you feel comfortable even if you have a lot of anxiety about the dentist like I do! This place is a gem! Janelle

No, we do not accept Mainecare. Please contact Mainecare for a list of providers who do accept patients.
If a patient has undergone any joint replacements or some heart surgeries, we may require the patient to take an antibiotic premedication before the dental appointment. Taking a pre-med ensures that no bacteria introduced from the dental procedure makes its way to other parts of the body. This one dose antibiotic can be prescribed by either our office or your primary care physician.
Endodontic therapy, better known as root canals, is a treatment option recommended when there is an infection of the pulp of the tooth. During a root canal, the infected pulp is removed and the area in the tooth is carefully cleaned, disinfected, and refilled with a new material.
Due to the increase in hormones associated with pregnancy, it is common to develop what is known as pregnancy gingivitis. The increase in hormones causes bacteria to flourish in the oral cavity, and your body’s response to these toxins could present as increased sensitivity, as well as red and swollen, bleeding gums.
Try any OTC sensitivity toothpaste. We also recommend using an electric toothbrush, and making sure patients aren’t brushing aggressively. If you are still having sensitivity issues, talk to your hygienist about our prescription Prevident sensitivity toothpaste.
Periodontal disease is a gum disease caused by bacteria building up underneath the gums in what are called “pockets”. In early stages, a person’s gums will appear red and swollen. As the bacteria makes its way deeper into the pockets, a person’s gums will start to pull away from the tooth, causing many problems, including teeth to become loose, as well as irreversible bone loss.
A CEREC crown is designed and developed using computer assisted technology. The CEREC machine develops a strong, ceramic or zirconia crown within the matter of one hour, allowing for same day delivery of the crown to the patient. The CEREC crown option eliminates the need for several appointments, therefore eliminating the need for a temporary crown. The temporary crown is still used with our normal crown procedures.
The treatment takes about 2-3 weeks to see results. The results from teeth whitening procedures will last varying lengths of time, but can last up to a year. It is important to keep up with homecare such as brushing 2X a day and flossing 1X a day to help aid in stopping staining and keeping your teeth white.
It is important to floss once a day to remove all of the bacteria and plaque that accumulates in between the teeth. Removing that bacteria prevents the plaque from turning into calculus, which can only be removed with dental instruments by the hygienist.
We do submit to all insurances, but whether or not we are in network with that particular insurance plan and how the specific plan is written will determine coverage.
