I called wanting to purchase a gift card over the phone. First time I called you asked if I could call back you were swamped, I said of course and understood. You told me to call back in 30 minutes, which I did and then 4 times after. Today right at 12:00 when you opened I called 3 times no answer the 4th time someone picked up and told me, no we won’t be able to do a gift card for you over the phone we are short handed and too busy. Do you not know how to put someone on hold, help a customer and then come back to me? You lost a huge purchase today and I would never come back to your running store. I said on the phone ok I’ll call another running store and purchase a gift card, you didn’t care and again told me you were too busy. Not a way to treat customers even when busy. There are so many places we can purchase and we always try to support local, but I would never give you my business after how rude you were.

I continue to return to Brunswick Fleet Feet Maine Running because they are always accurate in the fitting of my running shoes since I began running 10 years ago! They are always professional and I trust their knowledge. They have a great return policy too! Great shoes, great staff! Thank you!

My friend and I went into this establishment today with the intent on purchasing 2 pairs of Hoka One sneakers. We have never been here in the past and trust me...we will not be returning ever again. We were met with a barricade once inside the front door, signifying that we must stop and obtain permission to pass "Go." Ok, fair enough so we waited for an individual to assist us. A gentlman (and that term is used loosely) approached us at the door and proceeded to use the hand sanitizer sitting on the counter before even aknowledging our presence. He then asked what we needed and we told him that we wanted to look at what he had for Hokas. He stated "We don't have any fitting times available until noon but you can look." I told him that we didn't need a fitting, just a couple of pairs of sneakers. He pointed out to us the men's and the women' sections and then turned around to help another individual. When my friend had decided which sneakers she wanted to try on, we waited about 10 minutes for the "gentleman" to finish what he was doing and asked if we could get the sneakers in her size to try on. He stated "Your best bet is to come back at noon when we can do a fitting." We told him he didn't need a fitting as we knew what we were looking for. He was quite snarky and sarcastic and said "Noon is the earliest we can do." and walked off to assist another customer!!!!!! We both looked at one another like we had just entered the Twilight Zone and departed the property. Rude, abrupt, unaccommodating and completely lacking any desire to assist us as potential customers. Hoka One would not approve of this type of customer service and this "gentleman's" lack of motivation and desire to assist a customer gets the establishment 1 star, and only because 1/2 star is not available. Never again will I step foot on the property. 06/08/2021: An update to this situation- The store manager Erin from the Portland store reached out to me promptly to discuss this matter. She was appalled at the treatment we received in the Brunsick store and invited my friend and I down to the Portland store to offer us a loook at how the business is supposed to run. My friend and I visited the Portland store today and Erin greeted us. (We did not previously announce our arrival) Erin let us know that the situation in Brunswick had been handled internally and that is not how she expects the company to be represented. Greg, a pleasant associate, assisted us with choosing the Hokas we wanted and was very helpful as well as knowledgable about the different products carried by Fleet Feet. We were both extremely pleased with the customer service we received upon arriving in Portland and felt that Erin and Greg went above and beyond to welcome us to the store. I have change my initial star rating from 1 to a 4 as I feel Erin really showed us how important customer service is to her.

People were friendly and helpful, never had such a pleasant shoe buying experience (I tire easily of shopping and get overwhelmed). They knew way more than any other shoe store I've been to and we're excited and friendly when helping me find what I needed. I've had the shoes for a month now and theyve served my needs perfectly. Couldn't recommend more.
