Absolutely FABULOUS meal!! Highly recommend a visit. First: Reservations are needed to eat inside, we were a walk in and chose the patio over the bar. Noticed they had heaters outside and I felt it was well lit and also ceiling fans. There was a large round table inside and I watched through the window as they served family style dishes to the table. Second: food was FRESH! It came out hot, and very timely. We were in and out in one hour but our food arrived, the appetizers - within 10 minutes of ordering. They were very busy too. Portions were wonderfully sized for a main dish. With appetizers a larger person than myself would have plenty to eat. Not a fan of the white rice (too heavy, too dry) but our server Rachel said next time to try the brown rice - we will! Third: service was phenomenal, ask for Rachel - she asked if we wanted American Chinese food or Chinese Chinese food. The two dishes she recommended were perfect for us. Cumin Beef and Sha Cha Chicken. Haven’t had scallion pancakes or hit and sour soup in YEARS and looooved our dishes. My only regret is that we didn’t get a noodle dish. They didn’t have ribs but we can try again next time. Even MORE reason to go back!!! We WILL be back.

6 of us really enjoyed their carry out. Very authentic Chinese food. My least favorite entree was the ginger chicken and my favorite was the soft shell crab Hong Kong style and mala beef brisket & diacon radish. The hot and sour soup is the best that I've ever had. The Malaysian curry chicken & shrimp noodle soup was phenomenal!

Best to get a reservation but you might be lucky and get a seat the bar. Everything tasted really good my favorite was the soup dumplings. Would definitely come again

Oh my gooodnesss!!!! My reviews are usually very measured and contained but this restaurant is quite simply, off the charts. After complaining for months about the lack of authentic cuisine in Charlotte, I was recommended Lam's Kitchen by a friend. We went on a Friday evening without a reservation, so it was a long wait for the food, but when it finally came, it made up for everything and then some. Definitely try the Hong Kong style lobster and the Hong Kong style Dungeness crab. Going back next week!

The same as everywhere else.
This is a restaurant for enjoying authentically-prepared food. Ask about specials not on the menu. Chef/Owner, Lam, provides a wonderful dining experience!
