Debbie, we are so thankful for you! Before signing up for your class, Crew struggled to control all her excitement and big puppy feelings. Enrolling in your classes has made a world of a difference, especially the Deep Dives!!! Thanks to your Polite Greetings Deep Dive we have a puppy that calmly greets us with tail wags and belly rubs instead of jumping and putting her paws in our face. And we have the tools to build up polite greetings with guests and it is paying off!! Your classes are amazing, fun for owners AND dogs. Thank you!

I wasn't sure what training a puppy during times like these would look like and I am beyond thankful I found Debbie & The Well-Mannered Dog. My Griff, Buckbeak, & I have bonded so much through the games and learning we received in the Puppy Classes. He was a pretty typical puppy- bitey, excitable, jumpy, etc.- and I have a toddler so I was really wanting to start getting him to be more responsive ASAP. I chose The Well-Mannered Dog because of the humane and positive perspective on training, and because I was able to sign up and get started right away. The change over the last month has been incredible. Buckbeak is so much calmer with our daughter, and responsive to us. He is becoming the dog I've always dreamed of having because of the skills that I am acquiring at class and through all of the resources Debbie sends on a daily basis to help support our training. We have received compliments and positive observations from our Vet, our nanny, and most importantly- my Mom (who prefers only well-mannered pets!). I am looking forward to continuing our training in the Serious Self Control Classes.

The online classes taught by Debbie at The Well-Mannered Dog have been valuable for our dog and our family. We have been taking classes for Changing Dog Emotions and have seen noticeable improvement in our dog's behavior. For each class we have been submitting videos of our training sessions and receive thoughtful feedback during class. We find that we are much more aware of our dog’s body language and our own habits since taking online classes. Her in person classes are great too! We appreciate that she has adapted quickly to offer training while we are all at home. Thank you Debbie for all that you do!

My dog Angus, (a very spirited herding breed) and I have worked with Debbie for over 2 years both in group classes and individual sessions. During this period we have worked on everything from playful puppy biting, loose leash walking, general well manners and hyper arousal around other dogs. Recently, Angus was diagnosed with a serious eye condition that requires multiple eye drops throughout the day. I asked Debbie for help to make the eye drop administration both smooth and a one, rather than two, person job. Her approach to this problem has been characteristically systematic, sequential, and effective! Debbie has incredible knowledge and expertise and her approach is very positive and supportive. She has extensive grounding in behavioral psychology (as a Ph.D. psychologist I should know). She also appreciates how difficult it can be for people to execute the training and is very patient. Debbie is a creative dog-problem solver and lso provides a lot of extra resources. I particularly appreciate her handouts clearly detailing what we did during a training session and mapping out in an easy to follow way what we should be working on before the next session. And just the other day she provided me with an essential oils tick and flea repellent recipe. Angus and I have really benefited from our work with Debbie. I get comments all the time about how well trained he is. Sure he and I still has things to learn he is on his way to becoming a well mannered dog. Clearly, I have tremendous respect and gratitude for Debbie and her training. I recommend her most highly.

Our basic program for dogs that: • won’t bark repeatedly. • are not stressed or upset with dogs or people. • are puppies or adult dogs • are in good health, free of contagious disease • up to date on vaccines • can relax enough to eat treats • need help with Good Manners or Obedience • can walk or be carried down the stairs is $144 per month (at the time of my response). You can get more information on this page of my website. https://humanedogtraining.com/dog-manners-obedience-eugene-oregon/
Toby, I'm sorry that you are not well. Assuming that your dog has the emotional stability to be a service dog, it can begin training any time that you are well enough to do the training.
