Staying here for me was very much an unplanned event. I never saw myself as someone benefitting from such a place, but when circumstances aligned and this place came through it gave me the ability to be close to my daughter. The meals of love really helped through a time of hardship. Very grateful to be able to stay here.

Always my home away from home. The staff us very nice and always threw to support the families. The cost is minimal as well. No families turned away because of financial difficulties.

You can't really say anything bad about this place - you get a basically free room (suggested $25 daily donation), free food and stuff for your kids to do while in the hospital. We were in UCLA for our daughter. While the room was messy and smelled bad - it's not like your staying in a resort. Appreciate all the hard work by the folks who volunteer here!

I visit with the intl philanthropic organization Epsilon Sigma Alpha in September to provide a "Happy Meal" to the families. All chapters bring salad and dessert and drinks and the host chapter brings the main dish,and usually pulled pork, and leave what's left for the families that weren't able to be there for lunch.

When we went there my parents st aye D there while I was at children's hospital on sunset Blvd in Hollywood but when I was able to have a day out my parents were able to take me there.Thanks to them we didn't have to travel all the way back home everyday.
There should be a social worker on your daughters unit. Ask your nurse to connect with that person. The referral needs to come from the social worker. After they submit the referral, it should only take a few days to get in depending on availability. Hope it works out.
The hospitals normally will have shuttles to RMcDH and will pick individuals up to trasport to hospitals hours may very contact hospital security or call RMcDH
