Good local park. Next to a BMX park. Can get about 5 miles hike within the park. A small boating lake but closed due to water levels. You can see different birds in the ponds and small Lakes.

The lake level is low. Because of the low lake level, they have not restocked fish in the lake since July of 2021. Before that, they were restocking the fish weekly. So the fishing is not so great. But the area is clean and it was fun to birdwatch. Parking was easy and plentiful, even on a week end. We packed in a picnic and enjoyed a lovely day at the park!

Saw an Owl...found an injured Duck...seems a dog not on leash pulled her from the lake. I took it to the shade by the lake...went back to check ✔️ it after two hours...it was ok... slowly I put it in the water...it started swimming with one leg. As other feet was swollen..Will go and check tomorrow again.... beautiful nature but sad 😭 to see Dry Lake....Due to low water level you can see plenty of Fish 🐟. Worth enjoying the miracles of nature...and endurance for survival.

Lots of parking spaces with a couple dozens BBQ grills. Maintenance is ok. It is clean and has a few water access points. Beach and boat rental still closed due to covid.

Sometimes I went the gate was closed so the entrance was free but if they charge 10 dollars. Now about fishing I don't know if they charge. Sorry for not being able to help you with that question!
There's no swimming anymore only picnic areas. Checked the other day.
Yes, there are ways to enter from Stanley blvd or inner route from BMX facility
Yes Dogs of all breed are allowed. The trail side by vineyard ave. Officially pets are allowed off leash. On the BBQ side main boating lake pets must be on leash. According to the lady at Parking lot.
I did not see anyone swim but I also did not see any sign that no swimmin. 😂
Not sure but went last week couple good size trout and bass in the little pond lake behind it
When it starts to get cold
Swimming is there. It's completely safe with lifeguards.
No friend!
Just in case of fire risk you won't br able to use it. Not sure if both, but for sure not your own BBQ pit.
Yes, there are still trout you can catch.
You can fish off a dock with a ramp
Yes, swim beach is open, there are picnic areas with bbq: https://www.ebparks.org/parks/shadow_cliffs/default.htm#activities

Check park info
You are not allowed to harvest crayfish at Shadow Cliffs. Personally I do not eat anything out of that Lake, it's nasty. You can see check water conditions on the East Bay Parks website. They close the swimming area several times a year because of water problems.
Limit is five trout you need a day fishing pass. All information is on your day day pass.
To the sunset
Only electric
I don't exactly know for sure but there's a possibility that it might be open because its not only for people to go in the dam but for people that likes to go fishing too.I hope I'm right but you can always call.
Yes and you have to do through an inspection which is an additional fee
The main lake with beach and lifeguards and snack shop and boat rentals is no dogs allowed, but other parts of the park have leash free trails and swimming holes for dogs.
