Good to see the preservation of this historical site. The facility was easy to tour facility and can viewed in a few hours. Courteous and friendly staff. Gift shop has offerings from local artist. Very informative video that is a mite long and repetitive but still informative.

Fabulous!!! Go do this one with your kids! You will love the history & they will love the set up, bones, and getting to see a live archaeological dig! They have plastic arrowheads that little kids can dig up & then turn in for real ones (not genuine artifacts, but hand made!) There was no wait to get in, and it was not crowded. $6/adult admission, 12 & under are free. Truly, one of my favorite things we did on our cross country tour!

Very informative and interesting place. A good way to burn 90 minutes (or more) if you watch the documentary. The whole family enjoyed learning to hunt with spears. The museum is full of fascinating artifacts and the second building is an actual dig site full of recent finds and information about a tribe of Native Americans that date back 1000 years ago. A fun budget friendly off the beaten path stop if you're looking to kill time or into history.

We do not know what these people called themselves, but we do know that they were the ancestors of the Mandan people. The Mandan live in North Dakota today.
Yes, it is $6 for Adults, $5 for Seniors over 60, $4 for students. Children 5 and under are admitted for free.
The admission fees are $6 per adult, $5 per senior citizen (over 60 years), $4 per student, children 5 and under are free. We have group rates for groups of 10 or more, and bus tour rates.
It depends on how much time you have available. There are nearby trails that can be hiked which would extend your time. An hour would be a good starting point, though.
