Mostly flat, follows the creek. It’s pretty well shaded. There are three parking areas that you can go to. If you have mobility issues I’d recommend the middle one as they have an ADA accessible trail. The big bridges have ramps (no stairs). All parking lots are a good size. Poison ivy on some edges of path so keep an eye out.

French creek trail has great views around the Hopewell lake. Many different trails to take around the lake. The hopewell loop is the easiest around the lake and dam, but the Boone trail and horseshoe trail are for those who want to go off the easy path and get more into hiking and adventuring

The place is peaceful and easy hike for 2 miles.

Serene easy hike near creek on Memorial Day. After staying in for so long we wanted a place to walk in nature and just enjoy being out. French Creek Trail fit the bill perfectly. The wife and I both enjoyed the sounds of many birds and the babbling brook on our walk. The trail is flat and even partially paved in areas. A couple small bridges over the creek and a few benches to sit on along the way makes this place perfect for getting out and getting some exercise. Also not too crowded which is a plus.
