I like the joust and the queen and the performers and the crafts people. I saw some woodcarving figures that were both lifelike and magical. I told tales with the trolls and listened folk and fae music, electric and acoustic, had an ice cream and a stroll. And still I missed so much, but mostly I enjoyed the costumes and the people who inhabited them.

A little pricey. Great musicians. Limited food venders. CASH ONLY at entrance.

Fearie fest has grown over the years, and although so has the price of admission, I still make sure I go every year because it's such a great time. To dress up in garb and fantastical clothes of sorts is fun alone. Like Halloween in summer. But the people are so friendly and it's just a good vibe. For me it's a way to connect with nature and to celebrate the earth. As it is for many others. Theres music and food stands and plenty of options for souvenirs. I saw my first just this year as well as faerie chess. Overall it's a fun time!

As festivals go, they need work. It's a cute little thing, but a bit of a mess. It's a bit like a fairy themed craft fair, and that's being nice. If you like to hike and look at people in costumes, it's fun. Parking is a nightmare, nearly a half mile walk from where the festival lies. There may have been a shuttle, but I never saw one. And the festival itself is hard to find. We drove by it twice and nearly walked right by the "entrance" which was basically just an unpaved driveway. Barely any signs indicating the festival's location. The festival itself needs more entertainment and activities. The "labyrinth" was a bunch of paving stones that are easily missed. The "troll village" was some cute signs and a vendor. The actual trolls were entertaining. The mermaid pool was nice, as well. The music at the festival needs to be themed a bit better. They have the typical lutes and lyres, but then have some hippy stoner rock wannabe as well. We basically covered the whole thing in two hours, stayed a bit longer than that, but felt no need to stay all day. We probably won't be back.
