We had an AMAZING trip here! Several years ago my wife learned of this place and was hooked on watching the webcams with April the Giraffe. I knew one day I would like to take her here. Just so happened that we had a trip planned to Watkins Glenn State park and it was only 1 & 1/2 hour trip to this park. The park is really in the middle of nowhere, but easy to get to. We got to the park shortly after they opened, they had plenty of parking area. We got to see the Giraffes up close in personal. That was amazing. There were lots of baby animals in the park. We spent about 2 & 1/2 hours at the park which I thought was a good amount of time. My wife and I enjoyed the park and were happy with all the animal exhibits. Prices were very reasonable. Staff was very friendly and they told us they are working on a Drive through Safari park across the road, but it wasn't open yet during our visit.

Great place for a day trip. The zoo was beyond clean and the animals were definitely happy and well taken care of. All of the enclosures were spacious and well kept, I was pleased to note that there wasn’t even a zoo smell that you would find in other places. We loved that we got the opportunity to take a picture with the baby kangaroo for just $10 which was a steal. Already planning our next visit!🙂

Loved it. The wait in line was short when we arrived. We purchased the feeding buckets with lettuce, carrots and pellets to feed the animals. The whole atmosphere was totally relaxed. It was spacious and clean. The gift shop was amazing with plenty of affordable items to choose from I picked up my son a tee shirt, stuffed giraffe and rhinoceros. I recommended this place to anyone with children or animal lovers.

I live in Michigan but this is where my husband is from. We visited near Christmas and it was my first time. This is such a unique experience and I for sure recommend going! There are animals that I would have never imagined being able to get remotely close to that you literally have the opportunity to pet and/or feed here. It's amazing! I will say the size of some of the enclosures makes me feel a little bummed for some of the animals but I also understand this is a small family farm.

Yes, AAP is open rain or shine! You can always visit the G's in the barn & feed them also! Enjoy & have a great day Linda! 😘
You have to walk through the gift shop in order to do anything, so yes :)
Yes, bundles of carrots were $3 each and definitely worth it. Go early before they fill up and it gets hot.
