I went there to purchase a game controller for my brother, but unfortunately the plug in part had 3 prongs from a game console broke off inside of it but thankfully my brother was able to remove them and it worked fine.

Broken trade on machine for 2 months the store has refused to and be unable to process trade-ins for phones and tablets despite the advertised promotions throughout the store and on the website. Other GameStop in Vestal is hit or miss. Trade your devices in to another location and don't waste your time here if you want to trade something in.

The whole team here is wonderful!! Especially Nick! He is always very familiar and knowledgeable about all of the products out Gamestop and all upcoming games coming out. He always makes sure to check and see that my pro membership is active, I remember last time it almost expired or just barely did and he noticed and kindly reminded me so I was very happy he reminded me so I could renew right then and there. Also, I have been very excited about the Pokemon Snap game for Switch. I was worried because it didn't release in December but he stayed informed and when I asked next time I was in, he knew the new date it was set to release which was fantastic. He is the epitome of being key manager at this location. Between his happy, confident, positive demeanor, and always being informed about the gamestop products. Employees like him are literally the exact reason I don't buy any of my video games or anything online that I can instead buy in store. It is worth having these memorable experiences, which continue to make me want to come in store. I've worked in customer service my whole life and the way you treat people and your customer service makes a huge difference. It makes people enjoy when they're there and want to come back. He also is honest about situations with Gamestop like the pokemon products being low or out of supply from the Pokemon company and thats totally fine, I really appreciate him explaining the situation. It makes me patient to support the store by buying pokemon cards when they are printed normally or back to a normal supply again. He truly is an asset to this store location. I am so glad the jc mall gamestop opened back up after being closed due to covid for a while because between him, Jared, and the rest of the team, I overall love coming to this location. They are all so jolly and wonderful to work with. They even genuinely enjoy chatting about video games. Sometimes when I'm buying things I'll chit chat about twitch streamers I watch or a current video game I've been playing the most lately and regarding everything so far they are familiar with the game and have something anecdotal to say about it. They are a great fit for this company all around in every aspect I can think of. I love supporting this location and can't wait to keep coming back for future preorders and product pick ups. Whoever assembled this team at this location did a super job. I don't travel much even before covid so I don't know if I just got lucky with this gamestop but it is awesome and is the reason why online hasn't completely taken over yet. Hooooooo rahhhh!
