Love this place. I typically order the tassot cabrit (fried goat) and it is the best I’ve ever had. Tender, seasoned, and fried perfectly. Their rice is also delicious. As a Haitian myself, i don’t usually like anyone’s rice but my mothers but BAYBEEEE La Tranquilite gave my mother a run for her money (don’t tell her I said that). Highly recommend!

The food is as good as it gets for the price. Don’t listen to the hype the wait is long because it’s real food. Overall just focus on the food. All the other stuff is BS. The food is good and inexpensive. This is the only Haitian restaurant I eat. I had to comment some of you people are entitled soumoun.

The food here gets 4-5 stars (depending on what you order, and that you actually get that). Customer service is okay in person, but not so on the phone. There seems to be an insufficient number of people working there, so the lady who answers is very brusk on the phone - which forces you to just place orders in person. When you're there, its a whole new experience. They seem to have a dedicated clientele, so the wait is always long. The physical location gets three stars. It's apparent that they're trying to make a nice place out of it, but minor details are their ruin. The lighting is flimsy. The menu is amateurish - a plain, no-frills printout from a basic home printer -- very likely created by the owner's child. (I understand the necessity of keeping costs down, but if you're just printing out menus and posted signs, at least have the decency to replace them when there's an error and when the paper's experienced lots of wear-and-tear. It's not at all difficult or expensive.) Although, if you were to compare this location to the hole-in-the-wall where they were before, this is definitely five-star calliber. 😄

Customer service is a hard job but on the bright side you are a business owner in America in one of the most expensive cities in the country. That’s not an easy accomplishment you should have a better attitude no matter what. Haiti hasn’t been in good shape for a minute. Be grateful your here, there are many others that would love to be in your position and have a restaurant of their own.
