Spoke with John on a Saturday afternoon and explained an odd problem we had with our Ford Edge while traveling from out of town. He said to bring it over even though it was getting later in the afternoon. Listened intently, asked relevant questions and went on to check the car, research the problem and ultimately come to the right conclusion. Even though he used his scanner and spent an hour of his time, HE DIDN’T WANT ANYTHING IN RETURN! Most shops will charge you a diagnostic fee of $100 just for hooking up the scanner. His sign says “We don’t make money, we make friends” and it’s not often you meet someone who makes good on a statement like that. John will restore your faith in mechanics and is a shining example of what a small town garage should be.
