This place is amazing. Such a great selection of everything you need for your yard. They have everything from fruits and veggies to succulents, tropicals, water, house, bedding, exotic, orchids and even bonsai and stag-horn ferns. I’m sure I am missing some. Also pots, soil mulch, bird and hummingbird feeders, owl boxes and yard decorations. The variety isn’t what makes them so good, it is their people. Everyone is so nice and very helpful, they make you want to drive the extra mile. Pass by that Lowe’s with the same old plants and head to a local nursery that cares and has a great selection.

Really love this place. Always find something new. Lots of beautiful flowers. Decoration. Friendly workers. Know there stuff.

Beautiful, expansive nursery with a unique selection of plants, veggies, and flowers that I haven’t seen anywhere else. Very friendly and helpful staff too, and the best seed selection in town inside

Pretty cool that this place is a lush, colorful oasis tucked away in a typical industrial area. For all that, I found it a little hard to find but you'll figure it out. The small-ish parking lot was full on a Friday afternoon but spaces open up frequently. I found the nursery to be way more colorful, large and impressive than expected. Selection is wide, especially for subtropical fruit trees and shrubs. They also have a good selection of native plants and vegetable plants but their bread and butter seems to be colorful flowering plants. Prices are competitive with other independent nurseries. Plants were well-tended and groomed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bathroom was clean.

Yes they are
I have seen several bamboo plants. Left rear corner along Enterprise street at the Point Loma location.
Yes! I am not the seller but they do have blueberry plants in large pots that look very healthy to me! This is where I'm going to purchase mine from.
Their inventory changes regularly when it comes to specialty plants like that. They might be able to order some or tell you where to go if they don't carry the yellow variety. They're usually very helpful over the phone.
Didn't see it,but wasn't looking for it
Not sure if they have it now, but the scientific name of the plant is probably Brunfelsia pauciflora. Or at least something from that genus. Hopefully that helps in the search.
Volck oil was a trade name used by Ortho Chemical many years ago and has been off the market for some time. The replacement would horticultural oil which both stores carry.
Hello Michelle I would take pictures and take to the nursery. I’m sure they can help you.
Yes, I've seen it there before. Call to confirm.
Maybe
I am a customer, not an employee. Pick up a phone and call them.
Yes they do
Never visited
Because of Covid the hours have changed
Fig definitely. Likely guava varieties as well. Give them a call!

What is your question then?
We do not have any in Poway, if you call the San Diego store they can check stock for you.
I know they have many varieties of orange and citrus fruit, but I'd say to call them if you want to know if they have a specific variety.
Call the nursery, they can help. If they haven't got one, they will advise when or how they can get one.
Hi Tony, the answers you'll likely receive here will be from people who are customers, but not employees. You will have much better luck calling the nursery on the phone. The staff there are always amazing, so I'm sure they'll be able to quickly answer this question of yours and any others you might have.
I shop here, they have some scented geraniums, not a large selection. There is a mail order herb seller called Richters, in Canada, from which I buy scented geraniums. They sell dozens of varieties, their Fingerbowl Lemon is out of this world, and they have a few rose scented that are wonderful. Their online catalog includes photos and full descriptions.
We have a very good selection of indoor plants. Stop by and I am sure we can find something to fit your needs.
Yes they do. I have a very good friend that works there and if they don't have it or access to it, it's not a plant!!!
Thanks for writing. We do not have any in stock in San Diego but we do have them in Poway. We have some in Poway they are $9.99 each. If you would like us to send one to San Diego for you to take a look at call the Poway store 858-513-4900 and we can arrange a transfer next Thursday for you.
We do not have any in Poway at this time if you call the San Diego store 619-224-8271 they can check their stock.
Thanks for writing, we do not have seedlings available but both stores stock a selection of grafted avocados in 5 and 15 gallon containers. Stop by or call the store closest to you and you can find out what is in stock and the pricing. Thanks for writing
I checked stock in the Poway store and we do not have any. If you call San Diego 619-224-8271 they would gladly check stock for you there. Thanks for writing
Yes, as well as many other draught tolerant plants and ground cover options.
Our computer shows a few sizes are available in San Diego but call to make sure they have the size you are looking for before you go in. The number is 619-224-8271.
Thanks for writing, looking at the computer it shows we have 9 1gallon in stock in San Diego. Call to double check to be sure 619-224-8271. Thanks for thinking of us, that is one gorgeous plant!!
Thanks for writing. Without seeing it, either in a photo or in person it is hard to tell. If you can bring a sample of the affected branch into the store we can take a look and suggest a course of action.
We can arrange that but it would be in 1 cuft bags. If you check with A-1 Soil in Carroll Canyon you may find that buying it in bags is the cheaper way to go as their minimum delivery charge is $108 and from their Carroll Canyon Yard on Camino Santa Fe off Miramar Rd the fee to deliver to Poway is $191. We deliver for free with a minimum order depending on how close you are to the store. If you call our San Diego store they would be happy to quote you a delivered price on 54 cuft of soil (2 yards). They can be reached at 619-224-8271.
I've seen artichoke plants regularly for last 4 plus months. Doesn't guarantee they have them today.
We have them in Poway, not sure if they stock them in San Diego. Give them a call and they can tell you what they have in stock. Thanks for the inquiry. phone number is 619-224-8271
Walter Anderson nursery rotates their available plants as the growing seasons change. They should be called directly if you want to inquire about a specific plant
Yes
That is correct, we take your order collect payment then arrange delivery once it is done we contact the customer to confirm that the order is placed and let the customer know when the delivery will be. I hope this answered your question.
I suggest you call rather than using this forum.
They had Brandy Wine a couple weeks ago. Maybe they're waiting for the next shipment. I would not call Brandy Wine the best heirloom in the country. There are a lot of heirlooms you can try
Thanks for writing, we are sold out of Twilight Zone in both stores for this season and I would not expect more until bare root season next year - late December early January. If you need one right away I would try Kniffings Nursery in El Cajon, they tend to stock more roses year round than other nurseries do. Ken Andersen
Thanks for writing. The only Magnolias we have in stock at this time are Little Gem Dwarf Southern Magnolias. The supply on Magnolias is extremely tight right now. We were not expecting any until late summer or fall as the growers have sold out of available crops. The few that we did get were from canceled orders that were then funneled to us. Once these are gone I do not know when more will be available. Ken Andersen
Yes, there are usually a few varieties to choose from.
Yes, and on Monday 11/27/17 there is still a nice selection to choose from, but they are going quickly.
