No privacy, I could hear people talking in the room on top of us, the guests started to make noise 3:30 am, I wake up and couldn't sleep again. Horrible experience.

We stayed in #311, the "Chipmunk Suite" very comfortable, bed was good, our own door to the exterior. I found the lodge to be tidily maintained inside and out, no signs of mildew in the bathroom, very clean. Furnishings not new but in excellent condition. I thought the location was nice, the road was quiet (in August) and it is conveniently located next to Paradise Market, with very good sandwiches and baked goods and groceries. They were quick to respond to a maintenance request.

We booked for 2 nights and only lasted for one because it was such an awful experience. The ambiance was straight out of The Shining, there was no shower head, the door looked like it had been kicked it, and the bed was very uncomfortable. Staying at a Motel 6 would’ve been nicer. Definitely not worth the money.

Sugar Lodge at Sugarbush is the ideal base for skiing on Lincoln Peak and Mt Ellen. Bob and his wife are extremely welcoming and are a fountain of information on local eateries, bars and skiing. The accommodation is basic but comfortable and, most importantly, spotless. They have a beautiful open fire at the front desk where you can sit and have a beer or wine from their evening bar service and enjoy one of the many board games they have on offer. If skiing is your priority and you want an affordable comfortable base within a stones throw of the slopes this is the place for you. I was here with my girlfriend and we both rate it be the highly.
