America Plaza Station is a nice transfer spot simply because it is covered and provides shade. San Diego has great weather but it still gets pretty warm. Otherwise, the ticket vending machines work and the platform is clean.

This station is located right outside the One America Plaza which is the tallest building in San Diego. Trolleys will take you to the USA-Mexico border in less than an hour. Across from it is the Santa Fe Depot Train station that will take you to Los Angeles via Amtrak. If you walk one block past the Santa Fe Depot, you'll see the water front and the USS Midway Museum. This station is the best location to anywhere in San Diego.

The last train to downtown is about 1:00 am and to San Ysidero is approximately 12:15
They don't have parking, as the station is located within Downtown San Diego.
The trolley at American plaza cost $5 for and all day pass $7 if you dont have the compass card 2.50 for a one way
