One of the ladies that works at the landfill up-top was very rude. Was yelling at several people very rudely and yelled at my face for something that was not that big of a deal. If she was to calm down everyone like me or the people there today wouldn’t have been so angry and frustrated.

When does the chemical reusable program open for the public? The employees that work there are very professional and nice . The value and the quality of the product is good too? me and my husband enjoy going there once a week? Hope it Opens soon?

This facility isn't bad, actually, but they only get 3 stars because I do not appreciate being nailed $5.75 just because I didn't have a tarp over my load (all items were more than heavy enough to stay put and she could see that). There should be a clear warning sign at the entrance to the facility about this.

The Terrace Heights landfill has free public recycling bins for cardboard, tin, aluminum, plastic #1 (water bottles) and #2 (milk jugs) and newspaper. If you want to recycle other plastics you need to sign up for curbside recycling service. There is also a hazardous waste disposal facility here that takes batteries, paint, used oil, etc for free. The person who mentioned "tips" in their review might be confused because employees can't take tips, but the fee for dumping garbage at a landfill is called "tip fees". The employees are helpful and do not work for the city, this is a county owned landfill & employees are paid out of the "tip fee" not taxes. Just wanted to jump in and clarify a few points.

Yes that would all be counted as garbage at Terrace Heights and Cheyne landfills. Just a reminder, Lower Valley Transfer station in Granger does not accept any construction debris.
You would be better donating it to UGMission or Habitat for Humanity.

Yes that would come in at regular garbage rate.
We don't accept demolition debris at the Lower Valley Transfer Station, but Terrace Heights landfill and Cheyne landfill do accept demolition debris.
Unfortunately there is no market for glass for recycling. However glass is a very small percentage of our waste stream (less than 2%).
