It was very active. Seeing kids be kids is a delight. They are inspiring. I went there to record and needed some open space because I get loud. Lol.

In a fairly dense residential area with few green spaces, Clark Park is a beautiful place that is maintained by a community group (Friends of Clark Park). We usually go here on the weekends to hang out in the park and shop at the Saturday Farmers Market. Great place to relax with the family, kids and pets both are welcomed and enjoy themselves. Pretty good food spots in the vicinity as well.

It could have been a nice place but it seems neglected. There are a lot of people from time to time, yet the overall sight of the park is uncared-for.

Green space in the city is always an awesome thang! Clark park, for years since I was a baby it's always been a wonderful place to go and relax. On the Baltimore Ave side they have the game boards set up, chess, checkers and what have you. During the weekends they have the farmers market set up there also. On the other side Chester avenue, they have the deep bowl where they have concerts during the summer, and show movies, and that's where we used to play football. West Philly has got it going on!

Not necessarily jazz, but there are free concerts.
The farmer's market that's at Clark every weekend is run by The Food Trust from about 10am - 2PM, but don't be too late because the vendors break down and pack in time for 2 or if the weather isn't so good. The Food Trust farmer's market is also EBT accessible and gives you money vouchers back every time u spend $5 w/the SNAP program. They have not just farm fresh food and handmade food products by makers, but also flowers and live plants, as well as nutritional workshops (you can scope out The Food Trust website). The main flea market most kno of and go to is the monthly (only warm season months) Uhuru Flea Market. You might want to check if there is a Clark Park Association or with Philly Parks if there are other flea markets besides Uhuru. And if you are looking not just to attend, but be a vendor somewhere, the park is a pretty open, relaxed amazing place to set up casually anyway... which is kinda like what the last person who answered mentioned, free too:) have fun!
Providing the rain does not arrive. Shakespeare in the park is tonight.
I would comract uhuru furniture, they sponsor a monthly flea market there, and would know procedures.
25$ thru the phila parks and recreation site
Normally yes
Hey Aisha. I just looked up some information for you about Clark Park. You can have a picnic BBQ there without a permit but if you have 50 or more people there for a party you probably will need a permit. Also I would make sure you check and make sure that they're not having a event at Clark's Park. I hope everything work out for you.
