Actually two museums, North Bldg. has the History of South Florida, South Bldg. has more local items. Lots of hands on displays and informative stories. Not too expensive & a pleasant, interesting way to spend an hour or two

If you're in Miami and interested in the history of the region and the city this is a great starting point. It wasn't as comprehensive of the post 1950s as I would haveiked, but it was still full of lots of cool memorabilia and factoids.

The History Miami Museum was a nice surprise. It is definitely not one of the most celebrated museums in Miami, but it turned out to be very interesting. The best part is in the second building, north of the main ones; we spent almost 2 hours there and you can learn a lot about the history of Miami. I definitely recommend a visit but take your time in the 2nd bldg. to read what you are looking at.

Nice place to visit for a 2 hours quick overview about the history of Miami from 10,000 years ago 😱 I went when it was free. I think it's quite a new museum and pretty small, but what they have is all well made and presented. Good educational trip.

No but there is a parking lot under the museum that they can validate the ticket for a maximum fee of $5
They do have self guided equipment available. I have used it previously, but my most recent visit I did not. Personally, preferred it that way, since I got to move at my own pace.
They do not. Some posters were given at opening for free
There is a form online that you can do if you want to donate. There is no in person donation if you choose to come to Front desk. Please fill out form.
Yes it is. There is the ELG in North Building where children of all ages can do activities as well as parents use the books that range for different ages. There is scaveger hunt. Every 2nd Sat is free due to Family Fun Day and its jammed packed with activities
A misspelled word.
No . Most take the transportation. If not they park and pay at the cultural garage.
