My husband and I went here for the first time. The owner Nate is who greeted us and helped us. He was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. They have a huge selection of everything camera and photography related. This was so much nicer then going into a big box store or getting lost in the mess of trying to research what things to buy online. I was excited to learn not only do they sell almost everything I could think of needing photography product wise but they also offer photography classes and rent out camera lenses and equipment...who else does that? No one else! This was a very unique and awesome experience and I am excited a store like this exists. We will definitely be back. Just the friendliness of the owner and the atmosphere and variety of the products at the store alone were will have us choosing to purchase all of our photography needs here as our first choice. Thanks!

WOW! WHAT a nice place to shop and do business at! I had talked to Nate on the phone a day prior and based on that convo, decided to drive 130 miles to visit the shop in Dallas, OR the next day. There is nothing remotely similar where I live. Ended up trading a crop-sensor DSLR camera body and two lenses for a "as new" (barely 500 snaps) full frame mirrorless and basically brand-new lens...a step up equipment-wise. Nate was courteous, knowledgeable and flexible and he was willing to haggle a little to where we reached a deal. I walked away quite satisfied and felt I got a great deal. The shop is well-organized and they have LOTS of nice stuff in stock, along with a ton of "peripheral" items...filters, step up/down rings, you name it. Rest of staff was equally courteous and they also know their stuff as well based, on conversations and interactions I heard and saw with other customers. Please consider Focal Point Photography for your various photography needs...you WON'T be disappointed!

Focal Point is THE best camera shop. A few years ago I purchased a tripod for my spotting scope here based on excellent advice from an experienced man who works at Focal. During this recent visit another expert cleaned my Nikon's interior so I no longer have spots all over my images. Great shop.

Focal Point nailed what Starbucks has been in a mission to do, create the "Third Place". Even if I don't plan on buying anything, I love going into the store and chatting with the employees or other customers. There is so much experience and awesome camera gear in that store. They are amazing and very fairly priced for lens rentals and have always worked with me. I love that they will promote and try to empower their customers. Even though there are closer options to me, I'd rather drive out of my way to visit Focal Point.

Wonderful question! All of the staff members wear masks, and routinely wash their hands throughout the day. All surfaces are disinfected each hour. All customers are asked to wear masks in the shop as well. For those who would prefer limited contact, we have a drive-through window at your disposal.
Hi Alan! Unfortunately, we do not calibrate telescope lenses. We apologize for the inconvenience!
Yes they do.
Just $10, and can have it done while you wait.
Yes, takes a couple of minutes. I have had it done many time, last one being yesterday. They once told me that it doesn't cost anything for it. Not sure if they do it on the weekends so come during the week. Great shop to look around while there. Mike, Nate and the crew are great people.
They have a mind boggling selection of used lenses and bodies. Probably their biggest draw followed by an impressive selection of new goods.
