Went with a friend to Gates Bar-B-Q for lunch today. We got the all beef Nooner lunch special. SO GOOD! 10 out of 10 would recommend. 3 out of 5 stars. Wouldn't change a thing. #HailNimrod

Gates Bar-B-Q is by far one of the greatest barbecue establishments out there. As a beef brisket connoisseur, I must say that Gates has put together a bold flavor and consistent product in terms of cooking time and overall temperature. When you request lean portions with minimal fat, they come through with those specifications. The portion sizes are more than ideal, so the customer does not feel cheated or experience buyer's remorse. The wait times can be a bit on the less than ideal side, but when your food has been procured and you dig in, it is more than worth the wait. Hope they keep up their standards as far as flavor and adhering to customer specifications are concerned. If so, then they have gained a lifelong customer. So if you are seeking barbecue that not only satisfies the senses, but also nourishes the soul, then look no further than Gates.

Gates has always been a favorite of ours, and now that the pandemic has slowed way down it's nice to eat at a sit-down restaurant. Gates has everything you could want or need when it comes to BBQ. We always get our fill at Gates, with some to take home as well. The President is a beast of a meal to feed 7-8 people.

Gates is really good bbq. Unfortunately, due to health restrictions I can’t eat here often. The sodium count in the sauce is pretty high. But it is oh so good. (Maybe consider a low sodium option)

That depends on how much you and your companion eat at a time. If you want to feed multiple people your best bet albeit expensive is the presidential platter. It costs a whooping $100 per plate but it will have you full and with plenty of left overs for the whole family.
They did, but since the soft opening you can go inside. They've marked the floor with the 6ft. distancing. You can done in, they have closed off the seating area for 10 feet.
I spent about 28.00 for 2 double deck beef sandwiches on bread not a bun, with a order of fries and a drink.
Your best bet is to call right at open. The chances of someone seeing this at Gates today is next to none.
