Love this place. Irish pubs are golden. If you want to have fun,cheap good drinks, and good gambling come here. This is the best bar in the area! The rest are rip offs and scammers!!!

I came in and talked to people I hadn’t seen in months. There were less than 6 people in the bar. I did get a little loud. We were excited to see old friends. Nothing inappropriate. The bartender TIM decided to yell out in front of everyone for me to be quiet with attitude that was not called for. Fine. I left to walk my dog. Came back. I was speaking to another friend about his attitude and that I didn’t know or understand why he acted that way instead of just politely asking me to keep it down. He again decided the best course of action was to basically call me out on a private conversation. ‘So I have an attitude?’ He said. ‘Yes’ I said surprised he had interjected himself in a private conversation but honest. I explained quietly (appropriately) there weren’t many people in the bar and he could have spoken to me aside. He said ‘it was only six people!’ quoting and mocking me. Fun. I was then rudely and loudly refused service entirely. Tim shouldn’t work service. Our job is patience and customer service. Something he knows nothing about. Unfortunately I won’t be back. Ovation down the street is WAY better anyway. Cheaper drinks and actual food at river roadhouse… 5 min walk down the street. Do yourself a favor and walk even if it’s raining to avoid this place. Not sure how it survives especially with no food. In response: I will. Better service, better environment. I wasn’t even speaking to Tim so I don’t see how it’s disrespectful. Seems like he’s a egocentric KJ that got mad he was ignored. Just kind of disappointing that Duffy’s continues to do this. You survive because you know you’re the only dive bar without crossing the highway. You could actually elevate but won’t and also won’t accept what you are. Great attitude to have towards a customer for years that always sent people over for late nights when I worked in the neighborhood. One bartender… possibly excusable. For the whole establishment to have this attitude… I should have expected it from the owner. Funny I wasn’t a problem when he had me bartending topless for him there.

I couldn't be more disappointed. During my early/mid twenties I would be a frequent customer at Duffys. Good memories and good food/employees. Now? Wow... I'm not one to complain but based off my recent experience I have seriously considered reporting them to the OLCC. I had gone there on st Patty's day. Of course the most busy day of the year and limited menu (makes complete sense seeing as it was so busy.) The problem, however is that the bar tender was COMPLETELY cross faded and couldn't focus. He denied multiple people (including myself) food, including the limited menu yet would serve to the people behind me or his friends. An older woman had come in asking for something to eat, she had just gotten off a 12 hr shift at the hospital, and Ryan (bar tender) crumpled up the menu and threw it at her. THREW IT AT HER! He then accidentally broke a glass, everyone started cheering him on, and then repeatedly threw multiple glasses on the floor until one of the other bar tenders yelled at him to stop then SHE was the one left to clean it up. I witnessed him grope one of the other bar tenders and cuss people out. He would tell people their drinks were too difficult and to order a beer and would mix up orders. I had 2 drinks and left. I've tried to contact duffy's to ask to speak to the owner but with no luck. Don't waste your time with this place. It was once decent and now unacceptable service.

Great staff and very welcoming, not exclusionary at all!! They are missing a cook, and as such, have a VERY LIMITED fried food menu, thankfully, Ian made a deal with Majors Stuffed Potatoes and they now also offer several of their items as well. This is one of the very few local spots that have both Guinness Draught and Harp on tap! Oh, and a happy turn of events, karaoke 🎤 is back! Friday and Saturday nights starting at 9(ish)!!
