1/2 lb burgers...sold! Nice little spot to grab a burger and a pint. Can't really complain about anything. I got good food, a cold beer and they were playing the Beatles on the speakers. Service was fast and friendly.

Amazing food, amazing service. This is within walking distance of my office, and I had never been there. I was pleasantly surprised. The burger was cooked perfectly, the meat and veggies were fresh, and the bun was homemade. Our server was super cheery and friendly. I'll definitely be back!

Best Burgers in the entirety of Northern Idaho. I grew up in the Restaurant industry and even posed as a mystery shopper when I was younger. I have visited all the best burger joints and even when I traveled over the western states ... part of our "fun" was finding the best places to eat. Lately my son and I have gone to all the best burger joints here in Northern Idaho and after a Year of revisiting, tasting and going all over ... Penny's pit has the best. Prices are very fair and competitive, seating was minimal; staff was super friendly. This is classic Beautiful Free America Northern Idaho food at its best. (Pack River Store gets #2 barely and is slightly less a value than Cafe 95, Messy's pastrami cheeseburger "when they are a functioning business" gets a distant third.)

Excellent little burger joint. 7 tables so there may be a wait. It’s worth it. Fresh and elevated tasting food. Quality ingredients. And the fries are fantastic, like really good. Jami is an excellent waitress and takes great care of her tables. There’s also a few beers on tap as well. Will definitely be back.
