The absolute BEST store with a little bit of everything that is absolutely free to all Veterans and their families. God bless the strong and selfless woman who started this business after losing her son while serving his country. THANK YOU to all the volunteers that make this place work!! You are truly appreciated beyond measure.

This is a awesome ministry to Veteran’s, The volunteers are very helpful. I salute the founders of this helping hand service and to those who would lay down their lives for this country!!

New Beginnings is the most unbelievable place, Vets can get Whatever they need. It is the best place to donate whatever you want!! It helps all Vets. The staff who volunteer, and work there are all wonderful. Anyone can donate. I hand it to all who volunteer, and especially the owners, who are doing a great job for other Vets, in honor or their Son who they lost in the Service.

I am very sure it is for veterans only. Great place. Very friendly. Woman who started it had very heart felt reason behind it. In honor of her son. She told us on our first visit. I've visit per week. They take an inventory of what items you take. You are assigned a cart and for large items you are designated and must pick up I believe same day. Would recommend. They also take donations similar to any thrift shop. I doubt that you need to be a veteran to donate.

Hi Sherie, This is Theresa. We would be happy to accept your house plants. As you can see from the responses, we have clients that would love them. And I think they would do a wonderful job of making a house a home for a newly-housed Veteran. We have received plants in the past, especially from people that are moving and can't take them, and they don't last long at all. I hope that was helpful. Thank you for your question!
I know they will pick up whatever you would like to donate. The best time to call is first thing in the morning after 9am. I think they are closed Thursday's and Friday's. If you call again and get a voice mail leave your message for Theresa she is the owner/founder.
Hi Dan, Yes. We serve all Veterans in all areas.
Definitely! Brandi, our volunteer coordinator, holds a new volunteer orientation on the 4th Tuesday of every month at 5:30 pm at Newby-ginnings. Please give us a call at 208-610-6996 and we can give you the details. Thank you so much! And we hope to see you soon.
Hi SuzAnne, We would be happy to accept your moving boxes. We go through a lot of boxes during the day and the UHaul ones are usually the perfect sizes. Thank you for thinking of us.
As Sherry replied, open again on the 7th
Hi Randy, Unfortunately we are not allowed to have an outdoor drop off after hours as part of our lease agreement, but just give us a call. There are many times that we are there during off hours or we can meet you there for a drop off. Our number is 208-610-6996. Thank you so much!
Oh definitely! We are actually just starting to put out our back to school stuff for our families. We would appreciate any of those kinds of items.
Hi Sandra, Feel free to give me a call at 208-610-6996. I would be happy to chat with you and see if there is a way I can help. Theresa
Hi Joseph, We are open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 10-5. Feel free to drop off your goodies at the overhead door in the back and we will have some muscles to help you unload. Thank you so much! Theresa
Hi Nancy. We are open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 10-5.
They do have a pick up service truck. In Idaho I know not sure if spokane does. A phone call will answer most of your questions. They are a very good organization. Im a Veteran and have use there services and donate back what they gave me when my wife passed away.
Hi Betty, My son's name is Nick Newby. Newby-ginnings is a play on his name. When you say it at normal speed, it sounds like "New Beginnings" which is what we hope to offer many of our clients. Hope that was helpful.
Hi Steve, Unfortunately we can no longer accept mattresses and box springs. Thank you for thinking of us and please let us know if you have any other questions.
Hi Fred. We accept anything personal or household a Veteran and family would need. We do have a short list of what we cannot accept. Please take a look at our website in the Donate tab. www.newbyginnings org. Or come visit us and we can show you around.
Wasn’t that an amazing concert! I just spoke to GA from Rock 94.5 this morning and he said that the artwork is going up for bid starting Monday on http://rock945.com. Keep on eye on their website!
Actually, pick-ups are based upon where you live; so best to call when they're open, which is Mon, Tues, Weds from 9-5; I know this because I'm a weekly volunteer.
Hi Susan. Feel free to give us a call. We are happy to meet you at the shop on Sunday for your drop off.
They are open Monday through Wednesday. Theresa gets very busy, she is only one person. Give it a sec, she'll get to you.
